If you play as soldier with MG42 and turn left or right the bullets hit a bit more left or right, but not where the crosshair is
MG’s (especially MG/Browning on the tank) overheat much to fast (4 times faster)
FPS dependency in the MGs was fixed. This may make overheat and ROF different than what they were previously on your system, but they should be the same for everyone now, where they were wildly different in the previous version.
Wounded players need less hits to be pushed bavk into the Limbo (Medics have less chance to revive)
I very much doubt either these things has changed. For the limbo thing, I suspect you are used to other mods, like etpro, which increase the limbo damage. The etmain limbo damage has always been short enough that you can liimbo someone before their death animation is finished.
This seems to be a new bug (or feature?) in ET 2.60: when you pick up some items, you automatically switch to that item. E. g.: Medic with Thompson and you have the syringe ready. You pick up a Thompson from the ground and you switch automatiaclly to the Thomspon. Here a little demo.
Maybe this is config related, but I use the same config as in 2.56 etc. and it never happend there.
Following on from an issue with kicking, I’ve found an apparently intermittant bug on a stock 2.60 server. Sometimes, when attempting to kick a user - via the GUI or using the player’s UID in the command line - the user I selected will not be kicked. Instead, another user is kicked.
i’ve noticed when doing /players or /pb_plist the client # is wrong for the client im trying to ‘kick’ or do a /pb_alist etc. so thats probably why the above poster is also having problems.
punkbuster’s client slot number is different to the status (i.e. /players) slot number, usually PB is +1. But that shouldnt have any problems when using the menu’s to kick…
Ironman is correct, since installing the patch, everybody’s pings have gone WAYYYYY up. I myself used to have a ping of maximum 50. Last night I was playing with a ping of 130! It also seems kicking players is messed up as a referee. I tried to kick someone, and it kicked totally the wrong person. Another of our admins tried to kick someone, and got kicked himself.
And I’m sorry, but why not collaberate with the people that make the biggest mods out there BEFORE you release a patch? This could help to solve compatibility issues… Surely this would save a lot of time and hassle for all parties concerned?
I’ve deleted Ironman’s posts, btw - he’s a different Ironman to our old ‘friend’ (he’s in the Netherlands, the old one posted from US IPs), but there’s a worrying trend forming
Was the ability for a referee to pass or fail votes by effectivley voting twice a stock feature? I can’t remember. Either way, if it was, it isn’t working anymore.
I’m also having a rather major issue where my voting config is being ignored. I’ve disabled voting alltogether, but there are still some options that folk can vote on - XP shuffle, warmup damage and match restart. I’ve tried explicitly denying these options as well, but with no joy.
Shadows are still showing up too, despite cg_shadows being set to 0.
try cg_shadows to 2 , works good for me , http://img235.exs.cx/img235/1889/cgshadow230jl.jpg
Sorry for off-topic , and dont try cg_shadows at home you can hurt yourself ( remmember my shadows thread )
And i think that scope sway should be done somewhere in bg_pmove.c not in cg_view.c , it is weird… ( old think from RTCW , but it is fixed in True Combat for example ) this is why ppl can have problem with scopes
