When i am trying to connect to an et server
and my ping is too high, the server is not letting me connect
and there is a msg “server is for lo ping only”.
my question is how can i “FAKE” my ping and
to connect a server even if my ping is too high.
I know it’s not the most honorable thing to do
buy hey, somtimes i really do wanna play on
spesific serevr even if there is many more server’s.

as you can usualy have ping 50 and it may send challenge ping for eg 300 :S

Most of us have run into this at some time or another. I even get the “Low pings only” message when connecting to my own servers where I have a 50 ping and the “MaxPing” is set to 450.
If you have a ping greater than the “MaxPing” setting set for the server you are out of luck. There is no “faking” of a ping that I know of and I hope noone invents a method as this is misrepresentation.
Fake IP’s and GUID’s are bad enough these days, I can only hope fake pings don’t show up too.
If you have a lower ping than the set MaxPing then just keep hitting “reconnect” and you will get in.
You can find out what a server’s “MaxPing” setting is by using ASE or some other program that reads and lists server settings.
Sometimes the second or third “call” is faster. But if your ping is never lower than the limit you wont be able to connect. Try to ping the server via shell/console to see if you can make it at all.

cl_maxpackets seems to affect the ingame ping (lower valeus = lower ping). But I don’t know if this is also applicable for the challenge ping.
ZXC - Juno_Who said nothing offensive to you, so why the half-witted attack?
These filters are placed here for a reason, and server administrators can choose to use it or not. Having a method to bypass only makes administration of a server that much more difficult, thus diminishing the enjoyability of the server by some degree. Even if you were able to bypass the ping filter and get into the server, most admins who care about how people ping will remove those that are deemed too high anyway. On my server, for example, we have the maxping filter set to 350, but we enforce 300 max ping. The extra 50 is to try and help with the inconsistency of pings on connection attempts. If someone is pinging over 300, one of the admins (and there is always one there) will remove them (kick, or eventually ban if they don’t fix it).
If you’d like help with a spoof, it’s probably in your best interests to not insult those that have answers (even if it’s not what you want to hear).

Seriously though ZXC it would be a whole lot easier to just find another server. It isn’t the fact that i don’t understand what you are saying, it is the fact that people who learn English are too damn ignorant to learn it properly.

You can’t fake ping (I could explain why), so there’s nothing more you can do then ask the admin of the server to raise the ping limit or disable low-pings-only completely if the problem remains. Probably that won’t happen, so finding a server IS the easiest way.
heh get this… I set my server’s max ping at 600, I connect on a 6mb/s line, I wait game state … this server is for low pings only… I happes to me on my own server, I just /reconnect and I usually get in. I cant stand when high pingers connect, it lags the hell out of the rest of us, I dont like the anti lag because of the “errors” it makes where I get shot around the corner. And yes I know how it works, I’m not trashing anti lag, I just dont see the need for it, much liike bani does not see the need for max ping.
