Just consider for one moment exactly what your saying ok? Do you have a PC? If you have, then perhaps it would be useful for you to get a copy of GtkRadiant and actually take a look at the Goldrush map - the complexity of it aside, it’s quite big isn’t it?
Be aware that one or two of the ppl who have dismissed your remarks are known, established developers with mods that are active and popular, so they may know a thing or two about it. Console programming (and I stress IANAP) is much more about squeezing every last ounce of performance and compression out of what’s available.
What your essentially being told is that whilst it’s possible that ET could be ported toXBOX, it would be at significant effort - for anyone tbh. ET is a freegame, made by a devco with very strong id / quake roots - I’d say that how it came to be released at all tbh - just enjoy the moment, it’s special. One of the very few and lonely times that something worth something is released for free with absolutely no motivation other than for ppl to enjoy themselves.
The only way right now you have any chance of seeing ET on an XBOX would be via Linux (and even that would have to be a hacked full version that actually allowed access direct to the hardware).
