Hey Every1.
I have a problem with Wolfenstein: Enemy Teritorry. I go on to any server on Wolf and i can play for about 10 seconds and then the screen just freezes and exits and an error report comes up, sometimes the whole compuer reboots by it’s self . It is weird because it was working a couple of weeks ago. Can someone please tell me what is wrong with the game or my computer.
Thanx Big Aid
ET Crashes
Well, we can’t smell what’s wrong from here. Please give some more info of what could have changed in those couple of weeks.
And apart from that, some PC specs may be nice too.
takes a little time, the local gipsy is out of town today. i need her to find out your system specs.
meanwhile i suggest you switch your poll to something like:
guess which OS i’m using:
- mac
- windows
- linux
besides i suggest you check that top-secret error report of yours

Have you made any changes recently? Perhaps overclocking your refresh rate or similar?
Is punkbuster up to date?
Have you run your antivirus software in safe mode?
That’s all I can think of for now, good luck with it though mate
OK…
In the past couple of weeks i had a few viruses that mucked up my computer but i sorted them out… i thought. Don’t ask me the names of the viruses cause i don’t know.
Specs
…AMD Athlon™ XP 1800+ 1.53 GHz
…512MB RAM
…6.70GB/55.8GB free memory
…Direct X 9.0
…NVIDIA GeForce3 Ti 200
what’s the error report details?
i had that kind of error once with a game (not ET). reason was a bug in the graphics card driver. you probably should check the event log.
Is punkbuster up to date?
I’ll Try to update punkbuster
OS error report… i fink
SOZ Can’t remember wot the details are
How do i find the event log
I didn’t have the most recent punkbuster either. Ive updated it now.
good question. i have a german windows, so i translate. i hope the translation fits:
system environment -> administration -> event log
and in “event log” you check “system”
i suggest you let the system crash and after the reboot you check the error that occured at the time when the sys rebooted.
btw: i suggest you disable reboot on crash.
again a translation from german to english where you find it, i hope you can map the correct wordings:
my working place -> (right mouse button context menu) properties -> advanced (tab) -> start and restore properties -> automatically reboot
^^ uncheck that one, per default it’s checked
OK ive disabled that but the game still crashes. Is there any way to stop the game from crashing?
i currently ask myself if there’s any way that you can learn how to file an error report?
the info you currently gave is that you have a pc with windows and that something crashes … possible solutions are:
- reinstall windows
- reinstall graphics card driver
- reinstall ET
- reinstall PB
- buy a new computer
- stop using a computer
the correct solution is here:

sorry, but i couldn’t resist
ps: if you want help you should at least give as much information as possible
Big,
Reinstall ET, and delete the small .pk3 files from your etmain folder (arrange by size) sometimes to many files in your etmain can cause crashes, theres probally alot of files in there that you can delete.
