Enemy Territory: "ET.exe has encountered an error...&qu

It’s heat believe me it’s heat, take the hood of the beast and see if that cools it down a bit. if this works stick a few fans in your case, sucking in at the front and blowing out at the back. I did and no worries. My machine would give an odd error whilst playing ET beforehand but not now.

My friend has a P4 and he is experenceing the same problem. He has Windows XP and a built in 64meg gfx card. The computer was ordered from Dell and is a Microtower if that helps. I can’t remeber the system specs atm.

invis

your friend has problems w/ et and no other game ?

game errors ? lock ups ? map failing to load ?

(ktog3) #44

This seems to be a quite popular bug. I have the same problem it seems like. I can only one session at a time (if the game doesn’t freeze up). I go back to play it again in the same day and it crashes after the map loads.

Specs:

2.0 Ghz P4
xtasy Gf4 ti4200 128mb
SB Live 5.1
1024 mb RAM

Mine likes to go into infinite sound loops until I ctrl-alt-delete if I’m far enough into a heated match and try to check stats…

must…stop…statwhoring… :blah:

ditto

No I don’t think he does, its whenever he tries to run Wolf ET he gets that windows error, not every once in a while, but all the time. It doesn’t ahppen on any other game.

(Zathros) #48

Yeah… ET worked fine for few years, but one year ago it started this error messaging…
It’s annoying because it wont let me play even seconds, it comes immediatly after entering a server. I have tried multiple servers, it happens every time :frowning:

System specs:

OS: Windows XP Media Center edition
Processor: AMD Athlon 64 processor 3500+
1024MB RAM
DirectX: DirectX 9.0c(4.09.0000.0904)

And I have played et with my laptop, it barely passed the minimum requirements, but still was able to play, not anymore.

probably would have been better starting a new thread than bumping a 6 year old one
have you tried updating punkbuster?

(Zathros) #50

Oh, was too tired to look at the time of posting

Yeah, I have updated PB, I have also completely removed ET from my computer, then redownloading and installing, still won’t work.

Did someone find a solution to this 6 years ago? If you did, please share the information with me

(Nail) #51

have you updated to 2.60 version ?

(trAnc3) #52

Reinstall Windows!

(Zathros) #53

Yes, I have updated to 2.60, tried 2.60b also… And is reinstalling Windows the only way?

I really would’nt like to do that, its a hard work to get all my music and other stuff back

(system) #54

Can you host a game ? Or does that also crashes your system ?
Maybe turn off antivirus programms if you know what your doing.
Also maybe your memory is damaged.
You dont have a log or something ?

(Zathros) #55

I can host a game, it’s useless, but yes I can host one. And what kind of a log you mean?

A log that my computer has or a log I have made myself? I haven’t kept a log, and I guess my computer haven’t either.
