Hopefully this is wrong and it’s still released in the Fall.
EDIT: Gamespot has also moved it’s release date to Q1 2007:

Yes, but it’s a bomber and not player-controlled.
…I’m mostly just replying to this thread so anyone browsing the forum will see my name under Last Post, shriek, and click to find out if the date is real or not. Tee hee.
Squirrels say that a demo may be forthcoming shortly after QuakeCon, and that probably means that ETQW will happen this year, probably in a few months.
My original prediction was October, and I’m sticking with it, although I’d hardly be disappointed if it was sooner. If those sites had even bothered to look at the trailers, SD clearly states “2006” and unlike their industry competitors, I have have faith they will handily get it out and get it right.
Even so, I’d gladly wait until 2007 if that is what it takes to get the game running perfectly. Hopefully Activision won’t drop the ball on advertising and hype. More advertisement and hype means a bigger noob base to build on. I have been looking for ads, and haven’t seen any, so the release if far from imminent, but I think we’ll have some ETQW action soon, in demo form.
Actually WRT Wils’ post, I figured he was just debunking the latest stab-at-a-release-date effort, but instead he was just enjoying a cruel laugh at the madly-clicking-noob-crew’s expense. I can respect that! I have reliable sources that say Wils is in charge of the information/disinformation squad of the Splash Damage Intelligence Service, but he can neither confirm nor deny that.

I just picked up my copy of Quake Warks at Best City Boutique… the Tapir launcher rules!
You do realize that EB Games and Gamestop are one company right? One bought the other out, but kept the name.
i swear my heart stopped and missed one beat when i read it although i didn’t believe it. ace u should be spanked for posting this
i believe in amazon’s release date. hey, they once got Wils’ b-day as release date, so there seems to be at least some kind of connection
here’s how it work:
amazon.com: sells game 07.09.2006, price $49,99
then they sell it to
amazon.co.uk: release date 29.09.2006, says RRP: 39,99 but their price: 29,99
then they sell it to
play.com: release date 13.10.2006, says RRP: 29,99, their price 26,99
notice the link between play.com and amazon.co.uk regarding price and date. i think this makes sense. so release is early september
ps: i need a quake wars demo. seriously. dunno how much longer i can stand it without …
I dont care when the game comes out so long as it is done properly and not rushed. QW done perfectly is worth waiting for!
Btw, I wish to declare unholy war on all those who continue to create new threads about the release date of QW!
amazon.co.uk: release date 29.09.2006, says RRP: 39,99 but their price: 29,99
then they sell it to
play.com: release date 13.10.2006, says RRP: 29,99, their price 26,99
both companies based in the UK :eek3:
think we will get it sooner in Europe then and the rest of the world has to wait … till 2007
Your meter link was borked the last few times I checked. That was the joke that keeps on giving!
because you are pure evil? dude, you nearly cost me a stroke :moo:[/quote]
Don’t believe everything you read on the intraweb…especially online retailers.
