Do you want female models in the game?

(Nail) #21

I do not want female models, nor multi coloured models, total waste of time, money and memory. They serve no purpose other than filling a VERY imaginary need to be politically correct.

here is what I think.

There are 2 things that do not work with implementing female models.

Takes too much memory.
Unbalances the classes.

If covert ops were all female. Wouldn’t female gamers pick covert ops just because she is female? Then team would lose. Learn to pick male characters. In WoW, some guy made a female model just because the male versions looked ugly. Cough, blood elf and undead cough.

The objective of this game is to pick the classes that is vital to mission objectives, not because the classes are female models.

I played street fighter series. I normally pick chun li, you know why? She is fast and has a very cool kick button mashing attack. It isn’t about the sex or gender, it is about the abilities. I don’t care if there is even one female model in the strogg or GDF team. As long as female gamers don’t unbalance it just because they don’t like playing with male models. (no pun intended)

I totally agree. Pretend covert ops is female, bodybuilder type, and flat-chested.

(carnage) #24

i think there are some other minor differences in the anatomy of males and females from what u have described

these all new threads are scaring me… what goin on here? :o

(Dr_Tenma) #26

For what it’s worth, I voted “yes”. Purely hypothetically, it would be nice to have female models for both teams. Taking all technical considerations out of it, variety is always good to have.

I don’t really know how much more memory it would take to add more models/skins, but I’d be willing to accept whatever extra load the developers would like to add in. No big deal if they don’t add it in, which I’m almost 100% sure they won’t at this point.

Like I’ve said before, full face helmets and gloves, there, everyone’s happy.

Actually I would say most females will play what class suits them. If it happens to be the female class then that is even better for them. However to be able to see a female as part of the game and team is encouraging enough at this point. Obviously it would be better to have the option on all classes to choice male female or race, or skin color even. But at this time with being so close to the deadline I will take what I can get.

(escapedturkey) #29

Curious … for those who voted no. Are you saying you prefer watching male butts in other models? :o

(KiLLAMANx2) #30

you know what you could reccomend to them…
a patch that has female charecters…
but thats up to them.

(EnderWiggin.DA.) #31

I seem to recall reading in an article that they had actually done some concept art on a female strogg but it was voted down/culled. I can’t remember why exactly. I think it was in one of the many Wedgewood articles about 3-6 months ago.

Linky-2nd and 3rd paragraph

(mazdaplz) #32

yes make female models, and bring back the clothe-stealing feature of wolfet  j/k
still a female strogg would look really creepy, all skinless and stuff!
now that i think about it, the iron maiden was kinda hot :stuck_out_tongue:

(Nail) #33

Obviously it would be better to have the option on all classes to choice male female or race, or skin color even

Obvious to who ?
Why is it better ?
I still don’t see how it could possibly make the game better.

(signofzeta) #34

all I need to say is this.

Making options to pick male or female would make some people angry as they need to spend an extra 1000+ dollars to get a new rig, whereas if it were all males, they could probably barely play the game.

Making one class all female I don’t mind, as long as you are willing to play based on class, not gender.

(SCi-Fi) #35

you should be able to play m/f as there are women in wars of today…
there was an option to play a woman in tribes :D, which was smaller and sleeker.

(signofzeta) #36

you know how many player models that would be? Uh 20?

(mazdaplz) #37

i wonder what’s in the head of the more conservative old business guys behind the operation:

what, shooting women? are we sending the right message? why dont we just add children too… imagine if we DO implement the female models, it could certainly backfire and have the feminists complaining about how the shiny strogg armor does a nice job accentuating the chest of the model, objectifying women’s bodies, it aint happening pal!
/unquote 50 year old capitalist conservative republican
