Noticed in couple threads the topic being discussed, so I thought I would post the results from my servers for the past two months.

Axis wins - 3203
Allied wins- 2137
June
Axis wins - 6113
Allied wins- 5897
Obviously this isnt a scientific or representative stat for all ET servers, but I think that it does show that as players have gained more experience, the advantage that the Axis seem to have has dissipated somewhat.
I often wonder is players prefer allies or axis when they play, and if that might be skewing the balance. I prefer to play allies, love the offensive … cept on rail gun, then I prefer axis.
Anyone have a fav side, Assault or Defence?
ND80, perhapse axis have an advantage on your servers as they are mostly limited life servers…

As for Axis having an advantage due to limited lives, my whole purpose of this post was to point out that Axis dont have nearly as big as advantage as some people think. Additionally, two of my servers are unlimited lives and that percentage of axis wins is higher on those than some of the other limited lives ones.
A lot of people love limited lives but no offence to anyone at all I can’t fuckin’ stand the fuckers. Also this creeping around not getting shot obviously isn’t the most productive/effective route as when I have accidently logged onto one of these places and stayed “just to see how long” I can last, I have often got triple the XP of the nearest to me and there is still 20 mins left of the friggin’ map and through all that I have to sit in some stupidly overly cautious bastards head who peeks ‘round every figiin corner like a shy little girl and HIDES half the time when he should be gettin’ stuck in !!
ND80 I’ve often looked at your multitude of servers and wished to play on them (esp. when you had the beta server patch) but instantly denied myself the whole 10 minutes experience. But as I say some people LOVE them and play nothing else. Oh yeah where does the naming for them come from, are you like me a recovering Irish catholic ?

Yes. Axis have an advantage - because they are on defense on the majority of maps. They know where the allies are going. They can layer a defense. They can pound choke points with artillery and airstrikes.

I think Fuel Dump accounts for a lot of those Axis wins. It’s very hard to win on if Axis have any kind of teamwork going (or Allies don’t).
As far as limited lives go - I really like playing LL but the current ET map set cannot do it justice - I think you need smaller more concentrated maps. Then rounds are quicker and more fun.
Certainly wont get into an agrument about the pros and cons of limited lives vs. unlimited. I think a lot depends on the server’s settings. You can have a balance using the right amount of lives. Smyler, as I mentioned before, I have two unlimited ones if you ever want to stop by again.
As for the names of my servers, I’m Irish, I’m Catholic, need to work on the recovering part though. Actually, those names refer to Notre Dame of which I am an alum.
I have a Notre Dame T shirt, the one with the fightin’ leprachaun, but unfortunately it was a present and I have never been to Texas. :???: .
Oh shit ! Sorry lads the guy who got me the T shirt was from Texas origonally and had gone back to his roots and came back to Liverpool with it as a present for me. I just assumed. OOps. :banghead:
