lol Not at all. What is in dispute is your level of maturity at this point. You say that autoaiming exists, but then you say that I can’t detect it. So you are saying that autoaim is undetectable? Please. Tell that to the thousands of ex-Quake2 and Quake3 CTF players who constantly named autoaimers during a game and agreed upon it even though they were on differnet teams. You see, in those games, you could spectate any player regardless of their team. lol Didn’t know that I bet. If you had been playing the “parent games” of RTCW and Wolf ET at their peak in popularity instead of getting your feet wet in RTCW, you would not make such a statement. No one denies that aimbots cannot be spotted. We’re attacking your point that they are as common as a good player. 
I got an idea. Let’s get a few players together and an empty server. One player installs an aimbot. We play a short (5 min or so) game and someone goes around in spectator mode recording a demo (first person, cycling through players). Ironman tries to pick out which one was using the aimbot.
You are the one who claimed that cheaters were common. Then you posted a demo of people who were obviously not cheating. When that was pointed out, you made excuses, which were also incorrect.
So pardon me for doubting your claimed ability to spot cheaters.
I have seen a lot of people cry cheat and aimbot in many games, and almost every time, it was just a noob encountering a skilled player, or a noob enountering lag. Unless you can back it up with some demos, you are just another noob, regardless of how long you have been playing. Oh, and not that it matters, but I’ve been playing ID games since commander keen, and a software developer since before quake1. :moo:

YOu are in the wrong thread for bashing. Look for a forum on player killers in Diablo. Maybe that is where you should be.
Personally, I think you might be a cheater who is pissed that your antics are not invisible. Is your screen name in here the same as in the game? I am sure that it is not. The offer still stands for you to play me 1 on 1 and make a demo. If you are so good that you can criticise someone just because they see cheaters, back it up.

So post the demos then! 2 or 3 out of every 3 - 4 servers = 1 out of 2 servers, yes? So posting a demo of a cheat (a real one this time) shouldn’t be so hard, should it? Just demo all the games you play in the next few days and you should have a few good ones to chose from.
The way I see it (and this is just the way I see it, so don’t go accusing me of putting words into your mouth) is as follows:-
You claim to be a “very experienced gamer and very good player”. OK, very experienced at Q2 maybe, but obviously not RTCW or E.T., which are the games you claim to be able to spot cheaters in.
No-one’s questioning your ability to spot cheaters in Q2, we are questioning your ability to spot cheaters in RTCW/E.T.
You’ve so far proven from your posts on this forum that, despite being a “very experienced gamer and very good player”, you didn’t know:-
Artillery strike on Assault is a map exploit - you claimed it was a wallhack.
Panzer can be fired in 1 second or less - you claimed it couldn’t.
You’ve posted a demo which proves:-
You lack basic RTCW/E.T. skills.
Your movement is slow and ponderous.
You don’t know that crouching is an extremely useful shooting technique.
Can you not see why people ridicule you? Your skills are extremely poor (as far as RTCW/E.T. is concerned) and your knowledge of the game (as far as RTCW/E.T. is concerned) equally so. You’ve made claims and posted a demo proving this.
Most of the posts in this thread are insults, some of mine included, for which I humbly apologise. You started this thread to post evidence (by way of demos) of cheats. So far you’ve not done so. Until you post a demo of an actual cheat, you’re going to continue to get flamed.

If you can find an aimbotter on every 3/4 servers it should be no trouble to come up with a demo of one, rather than this bogus ‘instant panzerfaust’ claim you posted, and then retracted with equally bogus excuses.
I’ve said it before. Your reading comprehension needs serious help. Which part of “I’ve been playing id games since commander keen” tells you that RTCW was the first FPS I’ve played ? I’ve even seen obvious cheats in a few of them, but not RTCW or ET. It is quite likely that I have played against cheaters in RTCW or ET, but if I have, their cheats were not trivially distinguishable from a skilled or lucky player.
Still, I look forward to any demo you can post of an ‘autoaimer’.
Oh, and my name here is the one I use in game every day. That’s why I use it. I don’t think I have ever claimed to be good. Certainly there are many players better than me. I also don’t see what playing you 1v1 would prove. I guess it would be amusing if you ‘detected’ me. If you really want to play with/against me, I usually play on “the quarks challenge”, or “nyX west coast campaign”.
You are wrong. Crouching is an important aspect of RtCW/ET, mainly because it improves your accuracy.
Once again I would appeal to you to not raise cries of “cheat!” unless you know what you’re talking about. And, clearly, WRT to ET, you do not.

If you are one of those who has been coming here and calling me a poor player and saying that I know nothing instead of discussing the topic normally, just back up your claims by accepting my challenge. So far, I have made the challenge twice (this makes three times now) and none of you bashers have accepted. So “put out or shut up”, as they say. Then we can post the demo here and we can all see YOU playing.

I can’t remember calling you a “noob”, but if I did I humbly apologise, and I never claimed to be a good player myself. The reference to your playing ability wasn’t meant as a personal insult, simply a statement of fact based upon the demo you posted, which showed none of the basic skills you’d expect even an average RTCW player to have, let alone one who is as good as you claim to be.
I think that says it all. Whilst it would be fun to take up your challenge, but possibly difficult as we live on opposite sides of the Atlantic, it wouldn’t prove my point or yours (regardless of who “won”!). The issue is quite simple. You says there are lots of cheaters in E.T., so back that up with a demo of an actual cheat. That’s all you have to do to win the argument.

I never called you anything, all I said was that I thought it was funny to see how you ignored the objectives. You then misinterpreted my post and said that I was the one lacking battlefield sense.
As for my own abilities they are pretty bad, all I know is how to stick the needle in teammates and dish out med packs.

If we post our demos, and it shows that we are better than you, you’ll say we use aimbots, wallhacks, or some other cheat. Accept that you are new to E.T./RTCW, and learn from those who are better. Ask NICELY about how they play this game. I admit, when i went from HL to RTCW, i was totally clueless. Why? Because it was a totally different game. No resemblance whatsoever.
Now, if you would like me to teach you my strategies in a server sometime, i wouldn’t mind. You came in here with the wrong attitude. You should have asked if this was a cheat, not declare it was. When we corrected you, you started flaming and trolling our board.

Ok, so it’s not a demo of a bot or a cheat - just me using my one handed config (e.g., mouse-only, no keyboard). Touched the keyboard twice over ~25 minutes of railgun. Once to join a fireteam, the second to say “sorry”
My mouse-only config only lets me go forwards, so you’ll won’t see any fancy dodging or footwork. No strafe, no back, no crouch, just forwards. You’ll see that I get stuck in a few spots.
I also realize that I gibbed a few teammates while looking for my needle - it happens.

Unfortunately, today, I did in fact spot a player using an aimbot. I’ve seen them many times before, and regret saying that the person i was spectating was using one.
Characteristics:
Snapping between enemies fast enough to make you dizzy/sick
Hitting people even while his crosshair was behind someone even by an inch.
Gaining crouching accuracy while running/sprinting around.
Following people PERFECTLY while they strafed, jumped, leaped, crouched. (especially strafing, he would still hit them EVERY SINGLE TIME, his crosshair was following PERFECTLY.)
So, the answer is they exist, and the blatent ones can be easily spotted to the TRAINED eye. I R O N M A N, i would NOT consider you an expert in cheating.

The best way to spot an aimbot is to watch if their crosshairs follow the head while it falls to the ground…or if it latches onto corpses.
