For now I have played a lot too, I must say I’m getting used to it, but a little slower would be better for competition purposes. Though I beg SD never to change the sniper again, it’s just perfect right now ! (as some of my victims may confirm xD)

Agreed about the sniper. I had a play with him last night and everything felt great. The option to set an individual scope sensitivity would be much appreciated.

Just perfect? I don’t know what you expect from a sniper, but for me there is still a lot of work to do. (Sniping)
I expect the sniper to be one of weapons which take the longest working time.

Medics are overpowered in my opinion right now…I got a lot of the same…it just seems like if playing soldier I have to enter a lot more rounds into them than they do me…they shoot me 1 or 2 times max with that pistol and I’m dead. And they can do it from across the map, which is bonus for them. Meanwhile I have to get at least 4-5 shots into them with any of my weapons before I can kill them, and from greater distances a lot more than that.
Bare in mind I do have some lag issues since I have to play on euro servers, but obviously we’re not the only ones who have noticed this since everyone seems to play medic lol.

My point is a lot of them only play medic and with the current ttk you have almost no chance with the objectives unless you want to play lemmings.

The current ttk is the reason I haven’t played for the last few weeks. Everything feels a too whack a mole and random - especially when multiple people collide. Teamplay suffers, I get frustrated when killed quickly, and don’t feel like I’ve earned it when killing someone else.

That unfortunately is true, but it’s got nothing to do with TTK, it’s the too short spawn time. Short spawns means no-one’s ever dead long enough to get anything done, so you don’t have a lot of choice but to lemming rush. No point wasting time putting defense in spawn, might as well just kamikaze the objective until the dice rolls your way and it gets done. :frowning:

I don’t agree at all. It will reduce the skill. Twitch, in contrast to tracking, is not a skill at all, anyone can do that after short trying period.

If anything, twitch is more important with a long ttk as being able to twitch effectively is what gets you back into the fight if someone gets the drop on you. It gives you a chance to turn the tide. As things are currently, if someone gets the drop on you it’s already over, twitch skills or no.

I can’t compare the current patch with the previous ones since I’m new to Alpha and didn’t participate in that, but I’d like to see fighting characteristics similar to ET, so really low spread and accurate aiming but a reasonable TTK; right now the characters feel a touch too fragile, but that might be because I’ve been playing against people like INF3RNO and Samurai :smiley:

Please go register on www.cadred.org and www.tek-9.org if you haven’t already and tell them the games they earn money from playing don’t require skill.

That would be true if the current TTK was so low that you could never return fire. It isn’t, and anyone who claims it is is seriously mis-representing the situation.

I still have gunfights in which I can count to 3 or 4 before either of us dies. I still have gunfights in which I have to finish off with my pistol because a full clip from my AR wasn’t enough. That’s largely due to my lack of aim, of course, and the other guys’ lack of aim, probably. But I very very rarely find myself dying without any chance to return fire, unless I’ve been really stupid.

I’m probably one of the oldest players here (I’ll be 50 this year), but even I can return fire after being hit and get a hit or 2 myself. If younger guys are finding it too hard with the current TTK I hate to think how slow you’ll be when you get to my age. :wink:

I dont think that the TTK itself is a problem but the expectation many players have regarding the TTK and the current TTK doesnt match. Im a bit surprised by the TTK too because I think, for a SD Game its pretty low. Overall the TTK is almost fine, got be a bit slower so you could have a chance to switch from e.g. building an objective to your weapon and shoot back. Right now its a free kill if you find the objective guy :cool:

Yeah, sometimes i don’t have a chance even to run or hide while i make my <3 objs, but for me this TTK is more fun than previus one, maybe make it just a little slower.
