Container city map

That’s true, but grenades tend to have longer range throwing them down than up

All ET maps have a bias to the defenders to prevent steam-rolls. Seawall Battery is incredibly unfair towards the Axis team (a balanced map, just the geometry is very biased against the attackers), but it’s that fight against extreme odds that makes it so fun.

What about the Minas Tirith map for W:ET? That was pretty verticle, though can’t say I had many games on it.

(.Chris.) #104

He prob meant there are more routes on the Z axis rather than just all been relatively level

I always liked the idea of a The Rock style map set on Alcatraz where the action starts in the sewers, various objectives later, working up through the floors of the cells etc ending up on the roof where the allies have to steal the missile launch circuit or what ever. Could’ve been a few firefights over the various levels of the main jail hall.

anyone notice how one guy runs out of bullets, but the other one with only a pistol, shoots enough bullets as would fit in more than 2mags, without reloading?

(Cankor) #108

I was more wondering why the guy would want to take off the bulletproof vest that just saved his life. Hey, this is getting a little tight, I have to get out of it now that the real shooting is about to start.

You’d think by now, the developers would post some info on the other maps that will appear in Brink. So far, we’ve only seen the airport and Container City. Come on guys!

:orbital:

(Exedore) #110

If you’ve been watching, you have seen more.

(madoule) #111

yes, partly gameplay footage of the shipyard in some trailers. but you know, we just can’t get enuff…

(tokamak) #112

I don’t want to see other maps.

(light_sh4v0r) #113

Noone forces you to watch, I’ll put up a disclaimer if I get there before you do

(madoule) #114

LIAR!

(Nikto) #115

why is someone who says he doesn’t want to see other maps prior to release a liar?
i don’t want to see them yet either, why should everyone want to know everything there is to know about Brink before they even have it in their hands?

(.Chris.) #116

To see if we want to buy it in first place, knowing the details of the maps we are going to play is pretty important to some folk and not to others.

(tokamak) #117

It’s further than that, it’s pretty important to me to be able to experience the maps without knowing them through second hand information, it’s just an amazing experience that I don’t want to rob myself of.

(H0RSE) #118

They showed Reactor at E3.

@tokamak/Nikto:
no offense, sirs.
but participating in a forum 3-6 months prior to release of the game and participating on such a level your bound to walk into news. therefore i do not believe you saying you don’t like to see new maps.
as of today we know container city almost entirely from the security’s POV, and bits and pieces of around 3-4 other maps. conservatively there’ll 8 maps in total, which won’t be revealed all together. so IMO there’s room for more teasers. and i do think one treat more won’t spoil anything for you, on the contrary…

(tokamak) #120

It’s been more than a year prior to release, however just because I’m anticipating the game does not mean I want to know it’s content in it’s entirety. The mechanics, sure, an example map, sure, but getting to explore maps for the first time is just a great experience.

You wouldn’t want to know all the maps of a singleplayer shooter either would you?
