Ofcorse… in this case you will not see against you players with some noob-netsettings… On FTM thread we was asked about it, and a lot players support it. They blame Goblin like he is still didnt do it, but no need be too smart for understand that they just dont want doo it. Why? Becose they are have on their team 2 noobs from lagtards team who called sPank someday… They have players who even dont know how to play with normal settings… This ****ty lammers team allways played with negative net settings for get some advantage.
Lets take for example yesturday’s game 40% vs STU. Maybe for specs that was nice, just believe me, for players that was terrible. We played yesturday earlier with FailWhale, we was failed hard on those game, normaly game like those one is make me mad, but even on those game i had much more fun. Why? Becose on those game when i killed by someone, lets take Kordin for example, i know why i was killed, becose he was faster, on this moment, i know he had better aim on this moment and same things…
But next game i was like on Hell… This terrible ultralagged unplayeble server #2 + guys with noob-netsettings, yeah that was realy like hell.
Gays like Axter, he just running around you, and you cant kill him, and you know its not your fault he just unhitable as ****… Perfect - same ****. Rubben, i am really like this guy, i know for sure he is nice guy, but i am pretty sure there is same thing. Yesturday was few moments like, Axter are just running and taking our spawn, three 40% players staying arround and shoot him and cant kill him…He taking about 30% of spawn,yeah it is possible, nice joke… This lagtard just know, about his net things and use it.
On game against FailWhale against high skilled players i had aim about 33-35% on every round, after 10 mins against STU i had 26% - maximum, and all my mates too. And you playing on this unhits paradise, on this pathetic server and you know ,you just have NO choice, becose they will never accept go to some normal server even with thei noob-settings, becose their arrogant noobs mates from spank will ragequited after 1st map, as they was do on our screams… And all this things is pretty annoying.
So that why my team is prefer ClientPrediction restrictions on COMPETITION servers… Tnx God looks like only STU use it mass at this moment. If rest of teams will start do the same, this game will be complitely dead, becose for example, i will not see any point participate on some competitions in this case, and i think most of players - the same.

bronto is mad…but i can totally understand him.
okay, it’s a little bit funny that 40% guys are talking about unhitness…cause ynitaz and disney with their high ping are hard to hit too - but i don’t blame the players i blame the netcode (and my failaim).

and of course: i want limits from 0-20 too!:slight_smile:

I blame them, becose i know that ex Spank guys allways played with this settings, i heard it from them someday long time ago.

Axter is god of all lagers and unhitables, high ping and -over9000 prediction makes him looks like guest from another demension.
to RE-L: GunClub Server have this restrictions? I feel prety good there.

But as samurai mentioned in some other thread, also net_clientmaxprediction should be limited to some reasonable values like 800 too 1200 or sth like that…

Then why FTML servers still dont have this restrictions? I dont think its so dificult to change few cvars in server cfg.

I used to play in a clan with Axter & Perfect (M@FI@|#) and was given a config to use (made by Axter, I wish i kept it so i could share) but I agree that net setting restrictions should be put in place. The amount of times i’ve wanted to uninstall just because i’ve noticed teams becoming more and more unhit (or maybe it’s just my fail aim :D) is too damn high! But as Kordin said (as Samurai said) that you should also limit other net settings, as net_clientprediction isn’t the only one to affect lag (whilst being the most prominent). Realistically, I doubt they’ll change the server settings as they play out of these restrictions (otherwise they would of changed them already). The only way would be to get our own servers and enforce these restrictions, but that’s wildly impractical.

Woot ? Why do you want restricions Kordin ? You are the guy that said it doesn’t change anything, it is just imagination :slight_smile:
But back to topic, it is as it has always been, some ppl that have no skill will turn to other things like crazy cfg or aimbot wallhack whatever possible and that is just sad. In terms of QW it’s easier with unhit**** and everything cause, lets be honest, qw netcode is just the biggest bull**** ever, If you would just play any other fps online and compare hitreg you know what I mean :slight_smile: Also connection has a big Impact, eighter you are lucky or you are not, as simple as that.

I wouldn’t be surprised if this point was valid, as it takes 2sec’s edit a server cfg and seeing as they have already agreed to the change… im surprised you guys went ahead with the game. Personally i would refuse to play until the server config is fixed.

Also its no “rumour” that these guys are abusing net settings… you’ve all seen the old spank players every now and then getting kicked by PB from the server… i remember NaS getting kicked for -28 clientprediction. :eek:

Im glad a few others have pointed out other net settings here like net_clientmaxprediction as clientprediction on its own will not have a crazy effect solving qw lag issues, yeh it will help to a certain extent. But equally restricting all net settings to default has a crazy effect and makes everyone weirdly unhit when we tried this last year me/jopjop/rex… all that lot, tried it out. So i think we need a balance to allow some variation but not allow extreme values.

I don’t know what server changes you have made to ‘The Gun Club Arena’ but personally i find they are very nice and they also seem to remove the red blocks from the lag0meter for me, if you can find the cvar that is responsible for this i would be very interested :slight_smile:

EDIT: if STU take offense to some of these comments about axter/perfect abusing net settings all they have to do to respond is update the server config with the right restrictions… then people cannot complain about it.
