they have somethings that you have to give your guid to the ladder, and if you get banned then no new guid for you. or you have to subscribe again to the ladder or something. also the old guid thing seemed a nice idea wonder what happend to it… :o
playing on private servers also helps. and last why would you want to play a game looking so shitty? looking through walls makes it look shit. and what is the fun of holding shift

So, what I would like to know is why forum members deny that there arent any cheats out there.

Could you post a link to any post that has claimed that there are no cheats in ET in this forum. I doubt you find one. It is quite common knowledge that online games got cheats imho. Et is online game and very popular so it will have cheats like any other game would. The discussion Ive seen on this forum prior the cheat demo is more of cheater accusations and of relatively small amount of cheaters. Many players have said they havent seen cheaters. Many players have said theyve been accused of cheating which they havent done. There is a demo of good player which was taken because he was possibly a cheater. There is simply not many cheaters around. AFAIK PB doesn`t stop new cheats until someone has delivered the cheat to PB crew. It can though surely stop some cheat becoming popular.

Threads like this can get many new people to try cheats.

well cheating exists, i’ve tried some of those cheats in order to have an idea and i wasn’t aboslutely impressed, btw there are lots of ways to prevent cheating, pb has an autosreenshot option that can be activated server side so that randomly pb takes screenshots of clients playing.
i can say that in european tourneys there haven’t been problems in rtcw in the past 2 years nor there are in et right now.
consider also that rtcw/et is mostly gameplay, an aimbot/colored models can help but can’t transform a mediocre clan in a strong one.

FWIW, there have been more working, undetected cheats released for ET the last month than there ever were for RTCW. BTW, a few people in the US RTCW scene have been banned from competition for using cheats. Unless the leagues go to a GUID tracking system (as TWL has for RTCW) , there will be no way of preventing these people from coming back.

Just because PB was effective in RTCW, doesn’t mean that it will be in ET, because banning is completely ineffective in ET.

While I agree that this isn’t countersrike, it is well on the way IMO. Many of the current cheats are primitive, but they are only going to get better. The cheaters have to release often anyway, to get around PB. If you think you are better than any possible aimbot, you are deluded.

No cheat is goint to make a complete noob into a godlike player. A cheat in the hands of a reasonably good player, who has learned to use it effectively, can be very effective.
