ok i got bored today and joined some pub serv. and the last two that i joined i was kicked for sniping and even when i tried to defend myself they said i had aimbot and kicked me. ive never used aimbot or wall hack so i ahve no clue how they work, ive only encountered wallhack once, and it was a dead giveaway! but is there somway i can prove to people that im not cheating, because i told them to spec me and the guy that did said i had aimbot on. so…yeah! am i completly screwed or is tehre som way out of this.

tell them to spec you then play really really shit…

or play on different servers, people accussing decent players of cheating are usually shit and not worth playing with in the first place

You can’t. Once someone gets it in their head that you are cheating, there is nothing you can do to someone prove yourself clean. PB screenshots can be fooled or blocked, demos can be altered, config files can be changed. Instead of trying to somehow prove your innocence, its much easier just to leave and find another server.

You can not prove it.

Though the engine itself gives a “cheaty” way of unbalance. I mean first play radar with full graphics, animations and realistic level of brightness, you can´t see a friggin thing. Now turn down all graphics, and animations and fiddle with brightness.

I mean on this map, people with low computers, thus low graphics, have an edge on other people.

And with good graphics, it is vice versa in snowy maps (Fueldump for example), as the colour of uniforms stands out better against the snow.

Ask them to spec you and post the demo on a public forum - if they do that they’ll look like fools.

If you play with people you know (or who just frequent the same server) you at least reduce the risk of getting kicked. And having a ref on your side is always a good thing…

Hmm, how is that possible? If you have a good computer and tone your graphics down, you have a edge on the peeps with the bad computer again

Well some people, including me, think that graphic altering in order to gain a gameplay edge, is in fact cheating.

I had been accused of using a wall hack on a pub server i play on regularly. I was playing as mg42 and the person (on my team no less) said he was very upset that I was using a wall hack and every one should kick me off! I tried to explain that this is a known bug with the spec but the vote went down anyway…luckily I had some friends there …
I don’t realy see of anyway of convincing someone that you aren’t cheating though…I cited this forum even to try to clear my name to no avail

my clanserver is being built right now. so i ussually try to play on clan servers with other clans whenevre i play. try to see if they wanna have a scrim or somthin. but, on pub servers if i hear somone coming or when im sniping and som idito try to come up behind me thinkin there gonna get me back, and i jumpo up and shoot them, they tell me i have wallhack! now given the name wallhack, doesnt that mean you can just see through walls? but even some clan servers have told me ive had aimbot before. so i guess ill just steer clear ofpub servers. thanks alot for all the responses.

I got accused of cheating for the first time last week. I feel like a real ET player now. Just a couple of punk bitches who were getting totally owned. He was camping in the tunnels on Fuel Dump with an MG and was just firing randomly waiting for the tank to arrive. I was sitting in the tank watching all his bullets fly past, so I turned and fired and killed him without him getting a bullet off. He accused me of wallhacking, and he and his jerk off buddy went on about it for 2 more maps. I said, spec me, record a demo and send it to evenbalance.com. They replied they already have and they’ve sent it to everyone. I owned them both, and I wouldn’t call myself a good player by any stretch. They left straight after.

The people who call “cheat” are nothing but young punks who have been shown how to really play. Anyone who has a clue if someone is really cheating, will say nothing and spec them and immediately record a demo. And the real cheats will usually leave as soon as they are spotted because people will never live it down. My brother saw a guy using wallhack and asked “how could you see that guy through the wall?” and the guy just left straight away. People making a song and dance are just fucks.

there is one way to know if someone uses wallhack/aimbot and that is when you see something liek this:

It’s up to them to prove you’re cheating, not up to you to prove you’re not. If they kick you without proof, so be it, find another server and keep on playing.
