It’s a good game, and extremely popular. Thousands of players every night. There are 3 teams - British, Russian, and American. Weapons balance between teems is is not great though, because the fire rates are realistic. This gives the Russians the best advantage, Americans next best, and Germans are outgunned. However, that’s the way it really was. Otherwise. it is a great game. I play it more than any other.

You’re not kidding. the server I play runs a mod’d version of stalingrad that puts american’s against the germans. The american’s win the match(TDM) about 95% of the time.

Well, germans are outgunned because they can’t use the real german WW2 tactic: deploy MG42s under covering fire from rifles, slaughter everyone in range with MG42s while rifles get to the front line, pick up MG42s, advance, rinse and repeat. There’re only emplaced MG42s in CoD and they’re pretty useless TBH…

Deployable machine guns will be in the expansion pack. Not sure if it will make a huge difference though since the other sides will have their own though.

next_ghost, not exactly. The Americans, Germans, and Russians do not have MG’s in the game. The only MG is the Bren, and it’s a bad choice for the game as a hand weapon for the Brits. The germans are somewhat outgunned because the MP40 has a considerably slower firing rate than the other teams SMG’s, and the MP44 is heavy and makes the player run slow - not good. When playing German, I never use the MP44 because you are sluggish with it.

I loved the game and have finnished it several times. Driving the tanks in the Soviet campain was my favorite. I hated and had the most trouble with the big house where you have to stop the tanks and the troups at the same time.

A trick when you have to shoot down the planes with the AA guns and the troops on the roof are shooting at you… Spin the AA guns around and open up on em.
