Brink weapons

(Snarf) #121

This game better not have claymores or mines.

(Shadowcat) #122

Mines are placed by Engineers (up to 3 per engi), but can be spotted by Operatives (who can always see them) to make them visible to your whole team.
Nope. I was just responding directly to your points.

Sorry, took me forever to type with only one hand, as I’m holding a lizard in my left hand.
Look if that’s how you feel then you’re entitled to feel that way but I seriously am not the way I am appearing to you. I’m not going to bow out and spit on shadow and H0RSE like certain other people just to appear objective. I respect and admire H0RSE for his contributions and I enjoy playing online with him because he’s not a prideful loudmouth. We also agree about certain things. Shadowcat is good people. He helped me get settled in over at bethesda and was very helpful. Unlike most people here. You guys jumped him on his first post. I hate that crap. Just because a user is new you don’t have to haze him. Especially not a good poster like shadow. Most of you acted like idiots towards him before you even knew anything about him.

Also, finding the real world counterparts to the various sights and attachments would be pretty cool. I’ll try to help out a little if I can, but I haven’t got a clue where to start looking.

(Herandar) #125

I don’t haze new posters. But I will stop arguing for argument’s sake.

I have a few ideas already for some of the scopes and at least one of the silencers, ill post some tonight after i get back from class and see where it goes.

(DarkangelUK) #127

You know what, i’ll leave it… save the cheerleader, save the forum.

Have a good day sir.

(Shadowcat) #128

The way I see it, neither of you are really achieving anything anymore. If this once started as a debate, it turned into an argument long ago, and has since devolved into a pointless flame war.

Unless you think you’re actually gonna change each others minds at this point, I see no reason to continue. Arguing with someone who is angry never works, least of all while you yourself are angry. Even then, I don’t think either of you have had anything new to say for a few posts now.

If you both are so interested in proving who the bigger man is, then the best thing would be to stop the escalation.

(LyndonL) #129

I think that’s what has just happened…

And also:

I’m just saying.

(Jess Alon) #130

 Thank you wise one.

(Shadowcat) #131

I think the most obvious attachment is the YeoTek Sight which is based off of the EOTech 552 Holographic sight.

The COGA Scope Appears to be based on a Trijicon ACOG scope

The Greeneye seems to be heavily based on the Zeiss Z-Point with extra features added

This Suppressor appears to be based on one by KAC, the MK-11

I also noticed some things while looking at the photos. The first is that the Snoop-R Scope is actually two scopes acting as one.

The second is that both “iron sights” and “adjusted iron sights” are availible, which makes me think that you may be able to choose between true ADS and “false” ADS (for lack of a better term) where the gun is slightly below a crosshair, similar to fallout new vegas.

(DouglasDanger) #132

The Snoop-R might be a night vision or thermal scope. I think there is a thing you can do “IRL” with a nigh vision scope and another scope, I think that is one of the reasons modern military rifles have such long attachment rails.

(Ajax's Spear) #133

The caltrops sort of sound like claymores.

At any rate, why so srs in this thread, posters of page 5 and 6?

(Herandar) #134

I’m not sure that I understand. (Haven’t played FO:NV.) Do you mean that the crosshair centers above where the bullets actually hit?

(DouglasDanger) #135

The adjusted iron sights could be anything. That’s a weird phrase. I could understand “advanced iron sights.” That could be something like the upgraded iron sights some of the pistols have in Black Ops. Tritium or whatever makes it easier to see your sights.

(n0guns) #136

NO P90 HELLO WORLD (and no FAMAS ether why Brink why!)

caltrops are not mine more of like traps that will constantly takeout HP when running (at least that’s what CA did to them)

(Shadowcat) #138

Actually, there IS a FAMAS, the “FRKN-3K”

In FO:NV, you had the option to turn off true iron sights. If you did, when you held RMB to aim, you would actually aim with a crosshair that was just slightly above the iron sights of the gun.

(Shadowcat) #139

Just spotted this in the newest compendium update

“The automatic shotguns that Heavies can use appear to be fully automatic, not semi.”

First I had heard of it.

Is there a heavy-only shotgun?
