Of course the wallpaper isn’t same as ingame, but it can give us a hunch about the looks :slight_smile:

Yup, i saw that picture allready, looks awesome but i really want to see it ingame.

There is supposed to be some footage from pax east but i just went trough all the ones i could find on youtube but didn’t find any with the rokstedi

It is possible the SCAR-H inspired Rocksteadi will be a powerful, accurate semi auto, with more recoil or spread than the other assault rifles. Black Ops tried to do something with its iterations of the m14 and FAL.

The sporadic netcode sort of ruined the semi-auto weapons though-- I have a fairly decent connection, and the last time I black BO, I was two or three shots behind the host. If you are two or three shots behind the host when you are using a semi-auto, you don’t even see yourself shoot in the killcam!

I hope it’s more like the MW2 FAL and less like the Black Ops semiautos, which weren’t great. Can’t say what was wrong with the FN FAL but I hated it. The M14 just had way too much recoil to be useful without a grip.

Speaking of guns, fishbus in the SA brink thread:

ADS always improves aiming, but the weapon type will define how much it helps. Rifles are pretty mediocre spray cannons running around, but ADS will tighten it up well for slow movement shooting. SMGs have almost no benefits through ADS but have better spread during movement and are a choice weapon for running and gunning in a variety of stances (including jumping and climbing)

Does anyone have any impression on the shotguns’ range? I enjoy using shotguns, but I was burned by Black Ops’s implementation of shotguns. In BO, shotguns were basically worthless. Their range was spitting distance, and because of their slow rate of fire, it was hard to make them work unless you were host.

We have some footage with shotguns. It’s not great. It’s possible that we were just seeing people who were not using the shotgun “right,” but I’d expect it to behave like a trench gun. 2-hit kill in close range.

Also it’s probably not a terrible weapon for a medium who likes to get up behind enemies. There are a couple of videos of shotguns getting stuffed into peoples’ spines and incapacitating them in one hit.

True. A point-blank OHK on lights and possibly mediums. But point-blank is a tall order in a firefight.

I’m not sure if you are trolling the guy that wants AK47 because COD has ak47 or not, but Brink has a rifle inspired by the m4-- the Euston. It looks pretty neat.

Maybe he just didn’t realize that the Colt Commando and the M4 are basically the same weapon with different barrels. The weapon in the game has a pretty short barrel, so its more or less the commando already. :rolleyes:
