Havent read the 11 pages of FAQ, but how will the speed be ? As W:ET or all the other games that were made after it (CODx, etc) …and in my opinion wayyyyyyyy to slow ! At least make it possible to speed up the default speed and I am sure many ET addict will follow me to Brink. Just watched some videos and so far it looks good !
Brink Q&A
Probably already asked, but I didn’t see it in the questions recap on the first post:
Smaller body type = smaller hit boxes and larger body type = larger hit boxes right?
yes.
and. you can disguise yourself as the smaller guy while the larger, smaller hitbox. lots of health.
yes.

wow, it’s better to be a guy in disguise than either of the others then from that perspective. I guess it would suck then to be a small guy disguised as a big (fewer hit points and larger hit box).
Don’t tell me you can do the jumps the smaller guy could do while you are disguised as him, or lose that ability when you are small disguised as big?
Still think it would be better to have the health percentage translate back to your old pool when broken. Sounds a bit prone to exploits otherwise.
Don’t tell me you can do the jumps the smaller guy could do while you are disguised as him, or lose that ability when you are small disguised as big?
I’m pretty sure the answer was that you keep your abilities in disguise. It’s another way to spot disguised enemies - the big guy is moving way too fast or the small guy is moving suspiciously slow.
or maybe you can only take disguises from those of similar body type?
I said it before and say it again - there has to be a way to quickly access posts by SD members without having to browse through the forums. There has been a post by Rahdo on disguises and that stuff. Here it is:
http://www.splashdamage.com/forums/showpost.php?p=204840&postcount=582
There is, click a users name at the left of their post and select “Find more posts by username”. Or go to their profile, go to the statistics and choose ‘Find all posts by username’.

Yeah like in the WoW forums, a button next to the topic title when clicked shows all the developper posts.
Quickly as in - one click.

Two clicks is too many?
^ Yep, alternatively someone who has the time, can collate all the new information and update the q&a thread.
Not when he’s disguised as a class faster than his normal speed, the scout as an example. He only runs as fast as his normal speed.
ok… Question time!
When can we expect more screen shots and/or video’s of game play?
Yeah, In ETQW they tried the “teams are unbalanced, join the other side and get 10XP” thing. This combined with not tracking win/loss ratios would be good. Win’s and losses aren’t nearly as important as close games. Close games are fun games.
Generally you can get more XP while playing on a (heavily) winning side, iof for no other eason than you tend to stay alive longer. Please don’t provide another reason why players shouldn’t switch sides to help balance the teams.
New question (just finished reading all 68o something posts and didn’t see it anyway):
Can turrets be placed on just about any type of terrain, or are there turret spots ala ETQW (didn’t see any indication of an indicated spot when Loki put one down in the container city vid but may have missed it)?
