‘The apologetic map pack’ would be a great name. I’m serious, people would appreciate such personal relation to the developer.

Perhaps. But I think its better for the person to decide than the server owner.
For example allow some option that lets you disable it in game.
The one or two commands that are there atm arent good enough.

Some won’t like it after trying it, that’s natural, happens for all games. Lots of people play a game when it comes out, then after that they still play but not every day. Those numbers aren’t necessarily a sign of “75% of those who liked Brink are disgruntled and gone”.
Indeed, people could just start to play less frequent rather than not at all.

Also, only a marginal percentage of gamers purchase in the first month after release, maybe even less nowadays.
So looking at the first month of server stats doesn’t paint the full picture.
I have a feeling this game will become more popular overtime.

Add a sound for when you trip a mine. I feel I just randomly die when I trip a mine.
I would also like a different sound for when I get hit by a grenade from a launcher. Hey, it’s cool that I died from a grenade launcher, I just want to know why I died. Usually I just end up on the ground in 1 shot and I’m thinking WTF?
An on-screen indicator, like a quick desaturation of the screen as you realise in horror that you’re standing on a mine would be good as well.

i will uninstall it soon cause the game is not fun at all.

Doesnt need patches, it needs a miracle.
SD should stay in the modding area.

Skip movies after objectives, & before/after game: the movie clips only get in the way for teamplay, or from chatting with other players, you should atleast be able to chat while movie clip is being played. Servers should have the option to permanently skip all movies
End game scoreboard with chatbox: After level 20 players its useless to see your XP bar. You should’t have to navigate to chat to talk, it should never be disabled, and should just be at the end of the interface at the end game limbo menu, so players can talk to each other better, etc
customizations/cvars:
this one is a biggie, i already mentioned it before, doesn’t need explaining, their are endless possibilities for cvars, and customizations

I would love to see a stickied topic from badman (Community Relations Manager) or Crispy (Lead Production Tester) on what SD is working on right now.
By “working on”, I mean “it’s going to be fixed in the next (or the next next) update, or in the next 6 months”.

We really need a list like this :

A) We understand SD can’t promise something they may have to delay or cancel later.
B) We understand SD can’t say when a feature/fix will be ready.
However we still need some feedback regarding our feedback, this is a two-way communication.
Are we talking to a dead puppet, or the real developers ?

If you think that they aren’t working on the game, you need to have your head examined.

Crispy or badman needs to put on some shoes, go to the studio in Bromley, and communicate a list of concerns/requests/problems to the devteam.
And come again the next day for the latest estimation and priorities.
And sum it up for us, the users (and customers).
=> We need to know what’s going to be fixed soon, and what is NOT going to be fixed soon.
Of course they’re working, my question is working on WHAT ?
Game design tweaking (like weapon nerfing or manual voice command) may NEVER appear simply because SD doesn’t want to add them ever/now (or think there is more important things to do, like new maps/weapons/abilities/etc).
What’s the point in asking for such features if they ALREADY DECIDED to not add them ??
They don’t say anything, and we’re all repeating the same things over and over again, because we simply don’t and CAN’T know if SD heard the message or not, and what they think of it.
=> You really want thousands of players posting the same “F system is buggy”, “too much lag…” and “still crashing” posts ??
If SD tells us “we’re working on THAT problem”, we can sit and wait for a week or two for updates on THAT problem.
