Haven’t you played Trine? They do it with 3 mice/keyboards (same monitor though)… Brilliant game!
Brink needs Splitscreen
PC’s aren’t a notorious split screen platform, consoles are so no idea why you would take it away from the one that should, and give it to the one that shouldn’t…
Still remember playing Serious Sam with three people on one keyboard and mouse. Very… intimate. But yeah it’s generally not a pc thing.
“Make splitscreen a pc exclusive feature that’s easily accessible”
and you’d make some way to distinguish which KB/M was which, how ?
Gamepad’s also work. They’ve basically become a requirement for console ports…
Brink really does need splitscreen support. I know its a pain to program but a LOT more people would buy it because of splitscreen.
but they’ve publicly said they’re not doing it and its doubtful that they’re going to go back on that so… /thread
ya i think any co-op based game should have a split screen option if its coming out for console. i’m getting it for computer just cuz i don’t wanna pay for xbox live. yep thats lame. splitscreen games and single player games are why i even have the xbox 360.
Won’t be buying Brink unless it has split screen co-op for offline play.
Left/Right split screen FTW!!!
Top/Bottom split screen sucks…should I have to stand on my buddy’s shoulders to feel normal with the screen orientation?!? I am always looking at the wrong f#$%ing screen while playing Army of Two.
Borderlands FTW
While I do love when console games have splitscreen (we always play that the most) then I’m not sure Brink is that kind of a game. You need more players for good teamwork. But yeah, maybe for campaign it could do the trick as it is better than being alone.
Just a little note here for the Developers. I have a PS3, If the game is going to have the split screen option I will be buying the game. If it doesn’t , I won’t .
But hey, kudos on finding an old thread instead of creating a new one!
Not that you’ll be back.
Go to Taco Bell one less time every MONTH throughout the year and your subscription will be paid for…problem solved.
I thought that Quake Wars was a great game and can’t wait to play Brink. But I intend to buy Brink for my PS3 (I have Quake Wars for the PC) and for it to be good on the consuls it needs to have splitscreen. A lot of developers, especially for the PS3, seem to forget that people that buy video games actually have friends and that these people like to play video games with these friends. Sometimes it’s more fun to shoot your friend then random screaming six year olds. And even shooting the random screaming six year olds is nowhere near as fun to switch off the controller every life or two and then watching for the next two when playing with friends. And what if your consul is not hooked up to the internet? With splitscreen you could be playing coop with your friend instead of just shooting bots.
Four player splitscreen is better, but two player is fine if Splash Damage can’t do that. But if Splash Damage actually wants to get new players into the game they need splitscreen.
The game barely runs on your last century hardware and you want splitscreen? LOL
