I think it is only “specialty” nades, like flashbangs, molotovs, EMP or caltrops that are tied to the energy bar.
Brink ability preview on Facebook
I thnk this scavenge ability sounds neat. It encourages soldiers to kill enemies while discouraging camping.
I’m pretty sure standard grenades also use the supply meter. I remember reading an interview where Neil Alphonso said Soldiers could use grenades and molotovs back to back, but it would use two supply pips.
If you have the Cortex and no shirt, so your stomach is visible, there should be a scar on it.
A little one, so it doesn’t affect gameplay, but it would still be a cool feature.

Why would you have a scar on your stomach for a brain implant??

And here is Day Five ability: The Engineer’s Gatling Turret
This lets you plant a Gatling auto-turret which will detect and fire at any enemies. You cannot purchase this Ability without first purchasing Light Turret and Medium Turret
Looks like engineers can buff body armor as well (bottom left corner image on the engineer abilities. That’s my best guess at least). Maybe this is the purpose for the soldier’s armor piercing ammo ability.
If that does mean the Engineer can buff armor, I’d assume that the armor buff would take place of the weapon damage buff, yeah? Seems fair to me.
I think you can have three active abilities. I don’t know if there are exclusions. I don’t see why there would be.
Well, assuming the armor ability is a buff you can hand out to other players and not just a passive ability that only you use, I don’t think that there’d be enough room in the control scheme to have two separate buffs to pass out to team mates.
As an active ability I would assume that it could just be placed on the D-Pad for consoles and what ever keys are assigned to active abilities on the PC.
Pretty sure that you will never lose the default ability for your class. It’s mapped to a face button, and active abilities are on the d-pad when using a controller.
Oh yeah, I forgot about that. That’s better than what I imagined, then.
For sure that’s an armor buff, you can see the same symbol for the gun buff and command post buff. So does only the soldier get armor then; if so this buff will only apply to a small subset of your team mates, and also if you get more XP for it since there is less opportunity to use it (to encourage you to pick the dang thing, cause you know, selfish people and everything).
I don’t think you can fit a bomb large enough to kill someone into your brain without making your IQ -
It’s the future baby! All we need to know is how to shoot guns and a bit about soldiering, engineering, medic-ing, and operative-ing. Lots of space left for bombs.
