Brink ability preview on Facebook

(TiN TiN) #21

I can’t really see the grenade shooting as too much of a useful ability seeing as how grenades do more of a knockdown than kill. I also see it as kinda hard to shoot a grenade. But hey that’s just me. I’m sure someone will find it useful.
Day 1: Grenade Shooting
Grenade Shooting allows you to shoot down your own Frag grenades mid-flight, giving you more control over when and where they will explode (if your aim is right.)

Day 2: The Operative’s Cortex Bomb
The Cortex Bomb is a surgically implanted explosive charge that can be detonated when you’re Incapacitated, eliminating nearby units.
Day 3? or its a day 1, day 2, nothing, and only then day 3?

(Ragoo) #23

Seems they just forgot ;(

(Mustkunstn1k) #24

What’s the problem? It was late before too, they have a different schedule probably.

(Tandem) #25

Cool-story for a facebook member.

Info would be nice, not a scavenger-hunt for trinket details,
Including a “required sign-up” with the latest pop-culture website.

Brink Ability Preview, Day 3: The Medic’s Self Resurrection

Self Resurrection allows you to Revive yourself when Incapacitated. There is a very long Cooldown period between successive uses.

(tokamak) #27

The tactical nuke.

(Herandar) #28

Day 4: The Soldier’s Scavenge.

Scavenge the equipment of Dead enemies by interacting with them to refill your Supply meter.

So that’s what the bird claws icon is for!

(Mustkunstn1k) #29

Scavenge looks awesome. :stuck_out_tongue: Although it probably isn’t too easy to start spamming with the supply meter because you actually need to interact with the enemy body.

Day 4: Soldiers Scavenge

Scavenge the equipment of Dead enemies by interacting with them to refill your Supply meter.

(crazyfoolish) #31

Do you think that scavenge would also refill ability pips or just grenades and ammo etc?

(ktr) #32

Its say Supply Meter (keyword: meter), so it is mostly likely a way to quickly refill your pips.

(H0RSE) #33

So that’s what the bird claws icon is for!

It was driving me nuts what it could be for.

Do you think that scavenge would also refill ability pips or just grenades and ammo etc?

I think “Supply meter” refers to your energy meter for performing class actions (buff, heal, give ammo, etc.)

(ktr) #34

So one question I have…

How many abilities can you have at a given time?

It seems that there are active and passive abilities, some that consumes pips and some that increases pips (both supply and health).

It seems the abilities that you can’t map to hotkey/dpad are the passive ones.

(JeP) #35

Good guess, and you can’t have more than 3 active abilities.

(Kinjal) #36

+nades, 1 pip = 1 nade, soldier can use 2 types of them, so its a powerful ability, infinite ammo and infinite nades for a skilled player.

(H0RSE) #37

every player as infinite nades, since they are on a cooldown, not a set amount.

(Kinjal) #38

Yes but energy bar will go down quickly, and u have to choose throw a nade or do anything else. Soldier (if i get it right) will not have to make such choice if he had Scavenge.

(Humate) #39

Already infinite dude - pips regen

(Kinjal) #40

Field ops in ET have an “infinite” ammo too, but he cant have a Art. strikes + ammo at same time. So if u want use nades all the time u have to forget about giving ammo. U cant have evrything.
