fifa 1, fifa 2, fifa x, fifa 2005, fifa 2006, fifa world cup, … all the same with different players. i mean the only bad thing that can happen is that someone types the player name wrong.
BF2 is now dead, we await your arrival
So you’re telling me there’s no difference in these games?

yup
nhl94 was funny :bump:
yup. it’s not the graphics that make up a game. it’s gameplay. and that didn’t change at all. no innovation, nothing … and what strid said.
honestly i’d rather play sega wordwide soccer on sega saturn or sega soccer slam than any of those fifa games. some companies know how to make fun and entertaining games, EA don’t. and if you say you can’t change much in a soccer game, then better have a look at PES or the new namco soccer game for xbox360.
Let me quote you again:
nothing changes in the game
This includes graphics, OH SNAP!
BTW, if you actually played the games you’d know there are some vast changes each year; but I guess it’s easier to bitch about it…
evolution != revolution. and i seriously doubt you know what i’ve played.
“EA Sports. it’s in the game”. in which game? i can’t find it anymore in their games.
they killed bf series, c&c series, road rash, sims(theme park/hospital) … now all what they have are rights over harry potter, lotr, marvel and their sport games, releasing lots of unfinished eyecandy crap each year…
I bet the only reason you think BF2 is dead SCi-Fi is because you can no longer dolphin dive like a n00b.
I “love” the grenades in BF2 now…you can throw them a mile or 2. Just hide as a support (infinite ammo) and start lobbing nades around the level.
The screwed up with this new patch (again). I think the better developers are allready working on BF3 and they let the newbies do the “patching”.
After what EA pulled with MoH:Pacific Assault, and what they seem to be pulling with BF2, I will never buy an EA product again. They make the game just to pump it out, and a week later, they don’t give a shit about it. That’s what happened with MoH:PA and it seems like EA just doesnt care about BF2 anymore. So if you plan on buying another EA PC game, expect a buggy POS without support from the dev team.
because they don’t get money anymore for updates. they’re losing their player base for future versions, but their playerbase is still strong enough. otherwise i can’t explain why they released fifa 2006 in december on xbox360 and 6 month later they want to release fifa worldcup for 360 … and on the same way expect that people will buy another 60 euro game as a full version which normally should be a simple update with names & graphics.
i’m not buying another EA game ever again.
" ‘EA; it’s in the game’ and i thought … this game is going to be shit and it was."
me neither … at least that was what i thought before i heard that EA got to publish Burnout Revenge for xbox360, the best racer out there. guess what a big problem i now have … :disgust:
They are gonna turn ur beloved game into a piece o shit, dont reward them by giving them money. At least rent it first to c what its like!
i know burnout, it was always good, so i think i’m gonna buy it blindfold, although EA is publisher, but i hope that’s all they have to do with it. and criterion didn’t release it immediately so that they have a launch-title, but instead delayed and improved it. hence my hopes are high.
btw: look at the 1up review:
People who have played the current-gen version should get the 360 version if:
*They didn’t play it to completion, but wanted to.
*They played it to completion, but love Burnout a lot.
*They have a nice HDTV and stereo system.
*They are addicted to achievement points and playing on Live.
People who haven’t played the current-gen version should get the 360 version if:
*They are breathing.
but i’ll skip the rest of the EA games …
i think you can easily see distinguish the crappy games from the good ones by looking at the launch date.
I still don’t know why i keep on wasting my internet connection and even an DVD+r to play the latest EA games, even thats not worth it…
BF2 is dead to me, but not because of crappy EA, but because of crappy game balancing. I spent weeks trying to down planes with stingers and ground based AA…only to watch each and every map won by the team that got lucky to get 2 pilots that knew how to bomb/reload constantly and garner top scores without ever worrying about being shot down.
What do you expect from a game that encourages spawn killing? Fun for a while, but definately dead for me.
