How can you expect any support at all for a free game? What gives you the right to complain that they don’t spend all their free time helping you?
I’m sure you’re disappointed that it isn’t working, but this isn’t the way to go about things if you actually want help.

PS. They do play the game. They’re not very good at it (j/k guys), but at least they’re friendly (which is nice when you’re on the other team). :moo: :smiley:

I did what sd staff said and it worked and theres two journal files in etmain I took a screenshot to show you how to write the command

Hey Fusen…Is your game working correctly now? Anyone know the root cause of this? I guess I’m still in the dark as to why it’s happening on some people’s PC and not on others.

lol ummmm my game never wasnt working I just did what they said to show you how to do it, have you sent them your journal logs yet? and thats how they can solve the problem

i dont know much about what could this error mean… i dont have this problem… but just a guess :moo: (to actually try to help a little :smiley: ) : i think this error means something that the software in the game is wanting the system32 and drivers for the geforce fx to make an entity, wut quake 3 called, and its not wanting the entity to stay… like the entity is drawn for a second then its gone and the error as follows… or is it a bad mis-match with systems registry or drivers to make those entity surfaces to make it a bad re type…maybe get driver updates?..windows updates?.. so wut would “bad reType mean”?

dont know if this leads to any clue at all… i probably doubt it :disgust: … but if i was in ur boots with this error… i would go :banghead: NUTZ :banghead: … then end up like this :rofl: and then poke :poke: and poke :poke: and poke :poke: about this error

We still haven’t received any journal - so we haven’t been able to look in this bug any further. If anyone has a journal, please send it to us!

Hi everybody. Well I have the same problem too, bad reType etc.
I have a GeForce FX too … Is it possible the problem is the GeForce FX :???:
I couldn’t see anywhere that ET supports GeForce FX, soo …

PS : It’s a GeForce FX 5200 VIVO (Leadtek A340 Ultra MyVivo)

There are a few things you can try to fix this error. One is to open a zip file (a large one) with winzip and click on actions…test. Test it several times. If you have random errors, bad system memory if so.
Another is to check the cpu temp. You want it well below 60c. 50c and lower would be perfect. Playing the game adds 5c to 10c, a cpu over 60c (intel or amd) starts causing random errors. Higher the temp, the more errors it produces.
Reload directX drivers or install newer version. Uninstall video drivers, reboot and reload drivers.
If anything is overclock. Set it back to original settings.

Thanks Computertech :cool: . But I think i found the problem.
I change a value in nvidia control panel (display properties). In the OpenGl Menu, you have a parameter “Vertical Sync”, I put “always disabled”.

I played all evening in different severs and no problems, so … :clap:
