Well its a public server so they can do what the hell they like no matter how much u try to stop them.
back door on battery
Yeah, like we havent seen this discussion before. ---- But seriously. The thing that really makes me laugh is the sheer volume of intermediate players that have risen from the ranks of newbie status by only using some cookie cutter tactics.
Sure, if only one person goes out the back, you have the possibility of losing the game. But, as was said, and many of you may not have seen because of your quick TK, is the CP is easily defendable. I have seen groups of three or four fully hold the cp the whole game against capable players. One of the reasons for this is the cp. They have the cp and they have the bottleneck there. The FO can keep airstrikes/arty on the entrance, the engi can keep up the mine field etc… Have you tried to spot mines durning an arty barage? it’s not easy. The bonus effect of the cp is that the alled panzers are less effective and your panzer is more effective.
You don’t need the full team at the ramp. Especially when you have the cp. The satchel charges get thrown faster, the atry/air strikes come more often, the panzers fly more, you get more health and ammo…is there any more?
In any case, this discussion is very, very old and will probably never get “resolved” . But, lets agree to disagree.
You use your cookie cutter tactics that brought you up from the ranks of noob-dom, the same tactics that will never surprise your enemy and as was said, greatly diminish the potentatail ammount of fun you may have.
I will continue to try to find new tactics and places to surprise you and, even if i do lose the map, I had a little bit more fun trying something new.

"If Axis were to just stay at the assualt ramp (without going onto the beach) then there is no way Allies can win…Taking into account the Axis can actually aim of course. "
No way that is going to happen on the map with it’s ETPro3 changes now
I was kinda surprised to read that some guys would actually spent the entire game just blocking their team from going through the backdoor, for the sake of winning… on a public… I mean, how screwed is that? I’m also surprised that people would get angry if Allies manage to win 10 seconds before round end, because some Axis player made a mistake. Like others have said, just have fun playing the game and make it interesting if you can… Clan matches are a different story.
i never do nowt on battery im just kinda the covert that get up a high level and blows up the ramp but when they get the bunker i grab a uni and jump on the beach
just for a joke and some guy tried to kick me for it!thats just fucked up.
Grab a Uni, Down Beach to NME spawn
and wait for your team to recap bunker. When there 5+ spawn Satchel away :>
Going out of backdoor and trying to secure command post, isn’t any problem to Axis. The real problem for Axis, is leaving backdoor unguarded.
If possible, Axis could easily overwhelm Allies when command post under their control. In fact, it is very easy for Axis to defend the command post, because of the narrow path advantage.
If not, Axis still have to deploy sufficient firepower at backdoor to blockade incoming Allies.
The real NOOBs, are those ones who think they can accomplish full hold with leaving backdoor blank. In most cases, the Allied assault ramp isn’t hard to defend. 1 field op, 2 medics, 1~2 covert ops as core defence, then some additional back-up supporters corresponding to the number of Allied players at that point. It’s not difficult for Axis to deploy another fireteam to take care of command post - backdoor way.
If Axis want to organize their defence at this map, I suggest 3 fireteams:
-
West Bunker Team
Responsibility: Assault ramp defence.
1 Field Op, 2 Medics, 1~2 Covert Ops. -
Command Post Team
Responsibility: Try to seize command post at the beginning. If failed, secure the backdoor tightly.
1 Field Op, 1~2 Medics, 1 Rifle Engineer (can switch to Covert Op, in order to take back Allied command post) -
Support Team
Responsibility: Provide supporting firepower. They shall have ability to observe the Allied deployment, then dynamically reinforce either west bunker or command post/backdoor, even eliminate those Allied engineers who sneak in from assault ramp directly.
Some PzFst Soldiers, some Engineers, and somewhat else.
