Are you intending to pay upfront?

(Joe999) #41

Currently it seems that I should pay to get into a beta of a game which everyone else will get for free 1 month later. I absolutely wouldn’t mind showing support, but this doesn’t make any sense at all.

(INF3RN0) #42

You say that now, until everyone else is playing and your checking your calendar daily. Works the same in every type of game that does that.

Not sure tbh

Brink was a really layoff

will wait to hear what the alpha testers have to report, before i decide

Afaik there’s an NDA for Alpha testing, in other words, Alpha testers aren’t allowed to talk about the game.

Not intending to pay upfront at all, It’s not that serious, especially when I have not seen any detailed gameplay or exactly the overall premise of the game. I’ll just wait till open beta…

(Loki.) #46

I took the word of a alpha-tester who is loving the game…

so i pre-paid, brink was a utter failure… but i enjoyed W:ET and i really enjoy ET:QW’s (still play today) so 2 out 3 aint bad.

this game bombs, well then, this will be the last time i give SD any money pre-release… i’ll need to wait for demo’s…

As it is SD I guess I am willing to support them in respect of the many years of fun I had on marketgarden map and ETQW. Nice to see familiar faces, I have had a nice holiday at BF3. Did you get my postcard ? I would like to know if there will be dedicated servers or not. The answer to that would affect how much I am willing to spend. I have looked on these forums but can’t find a definitive answer. If I have missed it, I apologise.

(ps.Who took my nickname :p)

After this huge mess with Brink I would rather see some more footage before I decide to pay upfront.
Somehow its funny to read all the playernames since QW again and again, hoping that this time SD comes up with THE game

No, seriously. I think SD owns something to the community after Brink. Im not asking for much, just some more Footage or a well written article about the state of the game. I’ve been to the Brink Launch Event in Frankfurt just as some other guys here on the Forums and Brink looked great at this time… some weeks later, when it was released it was unplayable for the first weeks (months in some cases).

I would really like to hear some words how thats not gonna happen to DirtyBomb. :stuck_out_tongue:

We are all in the same position ! give us some more footage please ! with maybe another map ?
Real PC Footage ! cause the first one really look like pad gameplay … even if SD say that is a slow mouse movement footage.
Show us something nervous ! some real PC gameplay !

Well i was sure i wouldnt then i came to think of my great memories with WET, my clanmember memories with ETQW and the relatively good times i had with Brink

and suddenly this happend

Dirty Bomb Elite Pack, purchased on Jan 18, 2013 12:39:09 PM

So please remember to ad dedicated servers to the game

(barbaresh) #51

I will be a founder after I’ll see more gameplay of it.

(Christophicus) #52

I picked up a Legendary pack the day they went on sale. I’m a big fan of SD’s previous work, and DB is looking pretty good. I’m more than happy to support the team from this early stage.

(msjellybean) #53

i think i’ll wait till i try the beta before putting any money down.

(troop86) #54

I just spent 240$ for the contributor pack. I have been looking for a great FPS similar to ET for a long time. This game is closest we’ve seen since ET. They took my money and I look forward to alpha/beta test this game, help the devs make it a great game!

(Brinkman) #55

I’ll pay upfront if I know I’ll get a key that will work with Steam (if the game is even going to be released on steam)

(Kl3ppy) #56

I paid 60$ because I hope that SD learned from their mistakes in the last games. And to give them some extra time to program a code game. I know that 60$ isnt a lot, but its something

(Ecano) #57

QFT

I paid 60€ for the bloody Black Ops 2 so why don’t to pay 30€ for a game of the great ET:QW developer?

(ImageOmega) #58

Proud to say I own the Legendary Pack. Mostly because I really wanted that Art Book. I’m a sucker for that stuff and the art style in DB looks sweet. =)

(TwwIX) #59

They should be paying me upfront after BRINK.

(mtnz) #60

haha, I’m always an optimist so I’m hoping this ends up being a great game. I feel like brink would have been a lot better if they got on gameplay balance a lot sooner. After watching some of the info videos it seems like balance is a huge thing for them in this game. We’ll see I guess. I’d like to pre-purchase but can’t at the moment so just hoping for the best with the closed alpha registry.
