Guess who financed their research for this game?
Are you intending to pay upfront?
Oh trust me, I know exactly what you mean. At the same time I’m very happy they are working on a new title and hope they took Brink as a learning experience. I can understand what you’re saying and why you would be hesitant to pay after being ‘let down’ before, but in the end I still got a decent amount of play time out of Brink and as I said in my previous point am a very optimistic person… Probably a little desperate too considering the lack of enjoyable FPS games out there at the moment. My team and I all enjoyed a lot of the fundamental parts of Brink, what we didn’t enjoy was how defensive heavy it was and the 2 hour long double full hold matches. By the time quakecon rolled around and they actually did some patching, the game was already dead. The fact they already made a detailed video on how they plan to try and constantly balance maps/gameplay with their echo system/feedback, leads me to believe that this could be a game worth spending the money on up front. That and the fact they are doing this closed alpha, etc. But I totally respect and understand your reservations.
I only recently became aware if this game. I loved RTCW, ET, QW…and was quite fond of Brink, the way you are fond of a retarded niece… Id love to be able to drop a few hundred quid for the devs, but times are hard, so Ive just signed up for the basic founder pack
I hope now that the dev’s dont have to answer to any suits, we will get the game we have been waiting for…hopefully…Im optimistic.
i went for veteran. I had thought you got access now with it, but i misread. But still, it’s something to look forward to when we do get our invites.
You can purchase a higher tier and it’s meant to deduct the difference of what you’ve already paid. Not saying you should but just so you know.
ah ok, nice to know. tbh i don’t really want to pay much more than what i already have right now. But thanks for the info
