I bought the elite pack. I’m pretty pumped to start beta testing it
Are you intending to pay upfront?
Went straight for the Contributor pack.
I got burnt by Brink, (pre-ordered it, and was so very hyped up on it, and then so equally disappointed) but I am such a huge fan of W:ET and ET:QW that I’m going to give SD one more chance at making this all right again.
I’m hoping that they’ll be able to deliver an excellent multiplayer experience this time around, and believe that they’ll be able to get it right.
I’m noting that the absence of certain publishers (cough Bethesda cough) and the lack of release on consoles should already mean that signs are already on the bright side of things.
Got myself veteran pack aswell, would love to have alpha and contribute my ideas to the devs. Played RtCW and after that W:ET since release. However, simply don’t have the money for the alpha access packs :; (
Yeah I want to buy one of the Inner circle products but I really can’t afford it atm damn you real life commitments
Nice to see all the early support, I want, no I need this game to succeed. Tired of these realistic shooters
Are you allowed to share information about the game if you got alpha access? If so, stream some games for us.
Haven’t been given my alpha access yet. I’m pretty sure there would be a nda so I wouldn’t be able to show anything from it
I really need more information about the game, mostly in how the F2P model works, before putting money into it.
I’m really hoping there is no leveling, or XP/“GOLD” business.
AFAIK there is nothing specific yet, but you can get a general idea about the direction SD is taking with their free-to-play games at this gamasutra article.
As to the “no leveling, or XP/GOLD business” I would wish for the same, but I doubt it. F2P always has SOME scheme, but if it’s not ABUSIVE (contrary to virtually all other F2P titles on the market) I can live with it.
I’ve seen a lot of promising marketing… I have to say seeing no sign of e-bucks is great, though.
Dirty Bomb looks super awesome, but without knowing anything, I don’t think I could bring myself to pay that kind of money. I suppose I’ll just wait.
Got the Veteran package for now, when I finally get a feel of the game if I really like it I’ll upgrade to the legendary or contributor pack.
I really think there is something off with the pack deals or else I would have preordered. First of all we know it’s going to be a F2P title, but they have not announced any sort of ingame currency which I’m guessing can be bought for real money. The ONLY thing that can be seen from these packs is they are selling unique skins with load outs similar to Blacklight : Retribution. I assume the monetary system will be the same as blacklight where you pay for unique character and skins, but $30 for one? That’s almost the price of a full game, and that’s just with preorder! Maybe if these packs came with preorder only skins and currency or characters I would consider them. Otherwise all I know from what I’m getting is unique loadouts which I have a chance of never using and gun tags that will probably not be the coolest ones in the game. That does not seem to warrant a $60 for me, not for just a chance at getting into a beta. If these packs ALSO came with their worth in in-game currency I would definately take the $60 pack, otherwise I’m not sure how I will benefit other than having supported SD with their game. I highly suggest that SD should come up with their in-game currency soon and add an amount to their pre-order deals.
