My own personal experience will triumph over some kid who got it early. Already paid in full for it so now its time to wait the painfully slow couple days 'til Tuesday.

True but then you also expect devs not to brag about the AI if it’s just a placeholder thing.
And actually, the AI DOES seem better than the other games. The ‘big’ shooters don’t have AI in their multiplayer and the AI in the singleplayer is scripted as hell and do the same thing over and over again.

He seems to be missing the point in a big way, based on the TDM comment. I expect most of these pre-release comments are going to be a bit off, as the best way to experience a game is with a room full of humans that are very clear on the program.
Example- if he’s the only asshat running out of ammo, he’s learn very quickly about the soldier buff.
Same with the bots, which should be at least as good as the extremely competent AI in etqw- but if he doesn’t realize they’re responsible for things other than shooting each other, they might seen a bit daft.
I’m not at all worried, and tremendously happy to know i’m going to be 50 hour in by this time next week.

Every video/stream that I have seen, have all had the bots on easiest. Of course the bots are going to stand around and not shoot on that setting. However, even on easiest, the bots were reviving, buffing and pretty much going for objectives.
I think with the difficulty bumped up, they will be just fine.

Everyone has different tastes, opinions… Personally I didn’t think RDR was as good as I thought it was gonna be but other ppl loved it… I’ll decide whether the game will be good or not and from all the vids I’ve seen I’m sure I won’t be disappointed…

pretty much they did praise their AI and people are saying it’s pretty dumb, I know people will defend this game with their souls on a site specific to this game but it’s good to point out the flaws so perhaps they can get fixed later.

I think it’s just a matter of some of the PR backfiring. You can’t compete with a scripted singleplayer yet they tried to make it appear as such. Now maybe they netted more players with it than the complaints scare away, but yeah, it’s a big gamble to take.

Console player talking trash about the console version, because he does not get objective gameplay, gunplay is not a copy of COD and playing the game with bots before the day 1 patch that is supposed to change some AI behavior, turns out to be as stupid as playing a multiplayer title with bots has been since … well forever.

They get better in the sense that they level up with you, they’ll have turrets and other higher level abilities that you have available at your level.

as i mentioned before in another thread, i don’t care much about reviews, i’ll try it out myself. probably the gamestyle of brink doesn’t fit evryones taste, but i’m pretty sure that i’m gonna like it. can’t wait till thursday!
