Anyone see this players review?

Seems like another COD player playing BRINK since he uses ironsight at every occasion (even when the enemy is three feet away from him)

(InternetsWrong) #62

Whats wrong with using the ironsights? That said you guys are getting so worked up. I do know if Brink is going to suck or not but I know you can’t trust the word of any individual who thinks Black Ops is a good fps.

Thanks for the link fella, I use iron sights even when using the Gnasher lol. :o

doesn’t seem to like it - pretty much fits in what the other people have been saying about ammo depleting super fast.
I hate single player games, id rather hate brink but still play it then buy LA Noire :stuck_out_tongue:

I loved ETQW on 360 (Even if it was a rubbish port) I’m sure i will like brink. I can see it being a blast playing with friends.

If one person, who posted less than a paragraph review of the game, can dissuade you from buying the game…it’s time to reevaluate what information you take at face value in life.

There’s nothing descriptive in there of the game and, as an amateur reviewer myself, it’s pretty much just biased slander.

If you’ve checked out the game, you like the ideas behind it, and you really enjoy the direction the game is headed, then pick it up - at least as a rental - and give it a try. It certainly can’t be worse than Shadowrun (360).
his third post on that thread:

he just lost all of his credibility
To each his own, I had a blast with Bulletstorm.

Lol i still play Shadowrun, it’s awesome.

No one is buying Brink for the singleplayer

I had high hopes for the AI after all that SD said about it, but hearing theyre crap at teamwork from multiple sources changes nothing for me. His whole opinion of the game is shaded by the AI.

This is part of the issue with people who get it early, its not a proper representation of the real game (the mutiplayer) and no one will have much a chance for that until the street release.

(ThePilgrim101) #69

Haha and that’s my point. I thought Shadowrun was fun up until a certain point and now I don’t. However, my opinion of the game shouldn’t dissuade you from enjoying it and having fun.

Reviews - and crappy ones at that - are not a substitute for actual experience.

(Linsolv) #70

What I’ve seen from the bots in my watching has been that they’re generally objective-oriented, they buff you out of combat, but only rarely will you get a heal in a gunfight. Pretty much like CoD players. :stuck_out_tongue:

(Oh, irony, coming here from Black Ops with only a relatively brief time with BC2 intervening)

(beute) #71

sounds like someone expected CoD style singleplayer…

even a blind person could see that this game has no proper singleplayer.
it’s multiplayer with bots, end of discussion.

Dismissing it because of its offline play is like saying l4d2 is boring in offline mode.

It’s stupid, apart from that he had no real negative points, ammo depleting and low dmg are well known and intended, that’s something that shouldnt be an issue with real players helping you out instead of using bots…

(kratier) #72

1 person hates on the game because it isnt like halo or cod enough so everyone should cancel their preorders?

seriously waht is wrong with you people

Yee, watched him streaming last night because, although he never goes for headshots, he can hit stuff. He also said several times he doesn’t like cod

I don’t know… sp is part of the 5 main marketing points. AI/bots also continue to play a big role in mp so I’m really hoping people (the ones saying it’s bad and the ones I’ve watched) are playing easy/normal and not experiencing the AI to its full potential.

 i got the game on release back in 08 i think, i don’t play it all the time now just every so often

Brink is similar to Shadowrun in a way. They both have tutorial levels to help you understand how things work, and their both basically MP only games. I just hope Brink gets better reviews (not that i let reviews determine if i buy the game or not)

(Nerfed) #75

Don’t worry, people, this is just SD’s codfag-forcefield at work.

I agree with this guy.

If you seriously even start getting a little bit dissuaded about buying a game that you have been looking forward to because some random kid on the internets puts up a “review” about it, then you need to rethink your entire life. That’s right, it’s not even about VIDEO GAMES anymore… you need to rethink your LIFE if your mind is that fragile.

It wasn’t even a proper review FFS.

(boozee84) #77

loled at 1:57 of the vid. “congratulations, you’re now an engineer” ----> get’s killed!

(Mustkunstn1k) #78

Why is this thread even here? If anyone takes this seriously they must be pretty stupid… :expressionless:

It was funny when I first saw COD players trying to play Battlefield: Bad Company and Bad Company 2. Ironsights are not all purpose. ADS was introduced for quick, precise aiming. CQC hip-firing is always fun.

(hazzzen) #80

I gotta agree, this guys opinion don’t mean ***** to me. Ive never even heard of him…like someone said earlier what games does he like? I don’t wanna play LA noire and i love rockstars other titles…and he suggest I buy that instead of Brink? Ha ha

No thanks I’m still really freaking excited about it…the new an improved idTech 4 should blow most shooters outta the water. One more thing for any COD fans…realistic character models doesn’t mean better graphics.
