Any way to install QW if I've lost disc?

Hi guys,

I bought QW on release and played happily for months until my PC died. After it died, I rebuilt it and packed it off to my sister as I bought a laptop. The laptop couldn’t run any decent games and so I put QW away…somewhere. Just can’t remember where. Now a couple of years later and I’ve got a brand new PC and I want to install QW again, but can’t find the disc. Is there any way of installing, legitimately, without having to rebuy the disc? I obviously still have my username, etc., that I would be using. Or is it a case of going on eBay? (I know I can get it for around £5)

If you remember your username AND password, you can still play with that account.

You will, however, not be able to create any NEW online accounts without a cd-key.

Yeah but where do I get the files to install is the question.

Is there a list of anything else I should be downloading? Is Pro mod used as extensively as in W:ET? (Or as extensively as it used to be, majority now seem to be NQ or Jaymod, or other random mod I’ve never heard of.)

EDIT: Oh and it’s 6 years! :wink:

EDIT: EDIT: That download is only 500-odd MB, is that definitely the full game?!

etqwpro is/was used in competition but that scene is dead.

even if, you would automaticly download it from the server (but I personally find that messy cause it gets clugged in the apps folder) but you can download etqwpro from here:

Unzip and place in your installation folder next to “base” folder.
PS: anyone knows what happends to hannes his etqwpro wiki??

Yeah that file is only a patch, I need to have an install of QW before running that file.

I have an account, just wondering the legalities of downloading it from torrents. I’d rather buy the disc again than annoy the SD Gods! :slight_smile:

Well, It’s even legal to use your friends disc to install the game.

You already BOUGHT an account so I think it’s ok to download a full game then :wink:

If you still have the key you might be able to enter it in Steam and let that download it for you. I guess you haven’t got it though.
