sure, in that case[projecting you example/analogy] topicstarter should use Steam for ETQW re-download. not free, of course. as in your example.
which is root of problem, as im suspect.
for such issues, i strongly suggest make backup copy of ANY games, you buy.
both image and DVD-R disc.
you can have right to make ony copy for personal backup purposes wihtout right to share it anyways in most countries[unsure about US, UK or Taiwan].

Anyway, turns out the wife came across it during a mini spring (winter) clean so I’ll get it installed soon. Anything else I need? I’ve downloaded the 1.5 patch.

Any decent servers I should look out for? I assume any new maps can be downloaded from the server like in W:ET?

I would say get some custom maps, from the nirvana server. (see stickied post above)

well i don’t know any other way to play on full but if you want you can download the demo version and update that might that give you online play option if you still remember you username and password to play online

you cannot update the demo version to a full version, you would need to install the full version with the full version installer…

The game can be obtained pretty cheap at various bricks and mortars, if everything else fails. Costs like $5 here, in Denmark.
