I think that, as always, those release dates are made up unless you actually hear the developer of the game state it definitively.

but these type of things usually say “should” this says “will”
Ships from and sold by Target.
The information is most likely directly from Target instead of Amazon, and Target isn’t nearly as sharp as Amazon is about release dates… Plus there is no confirmation from the devs either as has already been stated.
Not another thread about fictive release dates…
They could have a check box next to the date saying this time we mean it, and I still wouldn’t believe them.
Well, I’m not even sure I should make this public, but a very reliable source passed me this. I hope that clears things up.
Amazon has a pretty good track record when it comes to release dates that aren’t generally known yet.

I never believe a release date, even if the developers come out say one, until the game has gone gold. Once it is gold, you can expect to see it on shelves 2-4 weeks after that.
Amazon understands the value of pre-selling, and to maximize this they usually understate the remaining time before release. Every day they hold your deposit (and hundreds/thousands of others) they are gaining interest on that money. Even if you end up not buying from them, your deposit becomes a Gain from something on their books (been a while since I took accounting).
If it is only 70% done like that link says, then I dont see how its possible to have it out by June 3. That means it would have to be finished by May 15 to give time for reproduction and shipping, and May 15 is only just over 2 weeks away.
My guess is Q4 2006, probably later than sooner, but before Xmas for sure.
Regardles of when it is, it will be a sad day.
It will be the beginning of the end for W:ET.
It’s like looking forward to a new dog, while your current one is still alive.
Now I’m sad.
Many W:ET players will never buy ET:QW. A lot of people play it because it’s free.
Definitely true. The fact that it’s a free game gave it a lot of popularity.[/quote]I still believe that it’s quality kept it that popular.
I think it will be soon tbh, with all the new info that’s been released lately.
Well the guys are clearly doing some heaving playtesting prior to the e3 showing as seen in the shotgun thread as bongo, wils, zombie are talking about killing each other. So just keep on truckin!
Thats why its not released yet, they can’t stop playing the thing.
And that was September last year. Turns out they could have released it in October!
