AMAZON
Hit refresh a couple of times on reyal’s link, nubs.

Well, I’m not even sure I should make this public, but a very reliable source passed me this. I hope that clears things up.
Possible to sue for false advertising? I really think it is bullshit for store to lie about release dates to get you to buy a game from THEM instead of somewhere else.
There is almost always fine print somewhere that say “subject to change yada yada yada”
I have to say though…Amazon don’t take money from your account until the item is about to be shipped, so that crap about gaining interest on your money is bullshit.
th BS about it is that they are creating these fictive early dates to make people pre-order the game. they have absolutely no clue about shipping dates, nor the price.
Definitely true. The fact that it’s a free game gave it a lot of popularity.
I still believe that it’s quality kept it that popular.
It did, to an extent, but I can’t imagine ET:QW to be very popular in Poland. Depending on statistic, piracy is about 70 percent. And with a simple (but effective) protection like CD-key, you’ll pretty much need an original copy to play. Not a big problem for me, because I know it’s worth it and finally can afford it… But I imagine W:ET and Tremulous (standalone version is released; http://tremulous.net ) will attract more people.
So servers may relatively empty in my country… Some people will still buy it, but probably I’ll have to play on German or u.s. east coast servers (which have quite good ping, too, often below 100, at least in Tremulous)
Unless, of course, there’s an official no-cd patch like it was for Q3 (or a crack). But it won’t happen too soon, if ever.
Sure everyone in Poland is loaded…at least the ones that come to work over here keep telling me that! A guy works with me in a bar and he has 2 BMW’s and 2 houses. Or maybe he can afford that on a barmans wages?!
