Air Strikes in Brink, yes or no Rahdo?
Obviously senethro and horse are noob trollz, let /care about their wall mind and talk to ourself.
yes, because posting information, suggestions and opinions are keen examples of troll behavior…
keep saying that one button nade are sooooo cool and fresh, tell me one game where any serious gamer think it is? And please dont take BC2 or MW2 as exemple, selling billion of copies isnt what I call a good game, you keep trolling and avoiding answer
You’re right, selling billions of copies doesn’t make a good game, but if a good game happens to sell a billion copies, is it not good anymore? I hate MW2, but I love BC2. Itis a really fun game, and the dedicated nade button works well in it. Of course, I’m just a noob troll, so pay no attention to me…
(or you are really really naap about selectable tool, weapon_bank for nade etc etc, did you play any SD game ever?
I don’t know what “naap” is, but yes I have played SD games before. RTCW and ET are my favorite MP games of all time. (I know RTCW is not SD) They were they only games I played competitively in clan matches. QW was good, but I liked ET more. The thing is, I don’t see selectable tools and weapon banks as the be all end all, best method to do things. Yeah, they work, but it’s not the only thing that works, and I don’t see the system that Brink has as a bad thing.
So if now you keep telling us that instant grnade spam and no selectable tool are waste question, I for now declare you as a freaking noodle with no clue, even if you have some “wrapped” arguments, I consider them as void, we dont play in the same category I guess, go to sandbox nao! SMART is appealing you!
So basically, if I don’t agree with your point of view on tools and grenades I’m stupid, and my opinions are moot…gotcha.
Dang you arent in bed already!
Jeebus, please…
Well looking at you arguments (senthro’s ones are the best IMO) just read your post again, apply these enlightened phrases for yourself and then read jamieson n co comments, see, it’s not that hard…
I see no more motivations to keep talking to paradoxa guys AKA walls so I should rest for now, brink is noobfriendly because of all the features we know, stay in your fanboi’ish attitude I couldnt care less, what I know is that brink will be a slow paced fps with options that I and you dont like.
To sum it up here it is : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fz-DJgxUeB8
Replace song with “game” and girl by “fanboi” in the chorus and you go straight to the point…
Was aimed at Horse anyway, you can keep praying a false idol, avoiding znswer ans stay shortminded senethro
stay in your fanboi’ish attitude I couldnt care less, what I know is that brink will be a slow paced fps with options that I and you dont like.
you caught me red-handed…oh, and good look on ponting things out that I won’t like - you’re psychic/mind reading abilities are uncanny.
I really don’t understand just because I don’t have problems with things they are doing, it makes me a fanboy…because I’m not pissed off and angry, I’m a fanboy…
I’m just anticipating Brink and want to play it…I play games for fun, not for competition or winning, so if they make changes that might take away my ‘competitive edge,’ I really don’t care. If it’s ‘noobfriendly,’ who gives a s****. Maybe you have it in your head that a game sucks if players other than hardcore veterans can play a game, but not me. I’ll still play the game, I’ll still have fun.
I suspect that the cause may be similar to why theres no female models. Given the extensive customization possible, being able to change body size may TRIPLE the amount of working memory required as each body size will have its own model, animations, maybe even voice. Being limited to one means you don’t need to load the Heavy/Medium/Small versions of each player’s character every map.
If thats the case then I’ll just have to live with it and I won’t keep bringing it up in every thread because theres nothing I can do about it. If its a design choice then I’d hope that SD have tested how the game works both ways.
now you’ve got it
:oppressor:
Very on topic, well done
God, there is some serious issues with personality clashes on here lol.
I normally wouldn’t mind, but the OCD in me needs me to read every post to make sure I haven’t missed any decent info… Unfortunately less and less of that is happening lately with all the pointless arguing. Can we perhaps make a thread called “Whine” where you tell eachother how much better your point of view is over the next person, and leave it out of the other threads?
QFT
There will always be differences of opinion, especially in an endeavor that involves significant risk (in this case, Brink). I’ll just ask again for everybody to please try to keep it civil, the name calling is just sad.
It’s one of those articles I found like 2 years ago, when they don’t have a concrete idea of what the MP should be, and when endrant didn’t exist yet, and when ETQW on consoles came out.
Legit or not, an article from early 2008 may be legit, but it is obviously not from an official source, and probably is speculation, but either way, the RTCW elitists will cry, even if the idea of not having objective gameplay leaked out, even though it may be false.
Secondly, the RTCW elitists think that MP is what dictates how Wolfenstein should be run, and not the SP. I said that only the developer dictates how a game should be run, and if they don’t get sales, then it is their problem.
As I said, Wolf2 is a sequel to RTCW SP. Not RTCW MP. RTCW MP movement matches RTCW SP movement. Wolf 2 MP is slow, because Wolf 2 SP is slow.
And don’t forget those elitists who make thousands of threads on WHERE IS THE MULTIPLAYER INFO.
Oh, and have you seen, I mean have you seen those who come into the wolf forums, who actually LIKE the game? Only to be mauled by the RTCW Elitists with internet bullying? It is as if the RTCW fans think they own the franchise, and should dictate how the franchise should be run. But I know of another who does that. Activision.

While there are some choices I don’t like thus far it’s sometimes easy to focus only on the negatives, I can only hope the core game of Brink is still enjoyable and combined with this ‘hardcore’ mode, that I almost totally forgot about, will still cater for experienced players and grumpy souls such as myself.
I was rereading this thread again to guage tone (sorry exedore) and noticed this. Where did confirmation of a “hardcore” mode come from?
Rhando mentioned it many times in past, if read through http://www.crossfire.nu/?x=forum&mode=item&id=28425 (click Questions and answers ‘link’) and search page for the term hardcore, you get to few posts indicating it will be a sort of game mode where certain server settings will be changeable.
As I mentioned I pretty much forgot all about it .
We haven’t talked much about ‘hardcore’ mode in the press because we tend to focus on the new features (aka ‘bring teh sexy’), but I’ve long assumed almost everybody on these forums will be playing in that mode. Hopefully more specifics in good time.
:stroggbanana:
“not fair” is completely fair in wargaming context, so its win/win for consumers.
anyone who disagree - will be recycled/re-educated.
Yeah so your talking about something that doesn’t exists ? I remember post of the guy working on the first studio in charge of wolf MP (wolf = wolf(2009) and not rtcw) on “wolfenstein-zone” and afaik he was already talking about obj/classe based game.
the rtcw elitists […]
Secondly, the rtcw elitists […] those elitists […] by the rtcw elitists.
Great new for you, WOLF was expected by rtcw community but also w:et/etqw as a fresh air for their favorite games. The game (wolf) was officially announced as the sequel of rtcw and turned out to be POS by the 3 community stated above but also by everyone who bought the game (because WOLF mp as near 0 players online per day). I don’t really need to tell you why WOLF MP failed, but I think that if the devs (or activision, or whatever) actually listened to the forum post instead of doing it like they wanted to be (ex: the fact that leaning was removed, spawn point remove, self button nade, iron shit who reduce the spread too much compared to without it, and so on) then maybe with the game wouldn’t have 10/20players online per day but a bit more, don’t you think so ?
You are whining againt RTCW players, but if wolf MP was the same thing with better gfx and new maps it would have (potentially) a lot more player than rtcw does have actually, and I’m sure that both sellers and buyers who have been happy. Now the reality is that endrant studio doesn’t exists anymore and none is playing wolf MP, it appears that it was a really nice idea to ship the game with a shitty MP mode, idd. :stroggbanana:
Wolfenstein(2009) was developed as a Single Player console game, with a PC port and crudely tacked on Multi Player. As a SP game, it’s OK but all the hype about how bad the MP was pretty much killed it without Activision’s help
No, it was Activision’s choices about the MP that caused it to be shit. First they chose someone who couldn’t finish it and then rather than do an expensive fixing job they passed it to Endrant to do it as quickly and cheaply as possible. And then they shafted Endrant for turning it into something almost playable and fired them, leaving a bunch of them including former SD members in debt.
Honestly I just think you guys are kinda bored now -_-
5 pages worth of posts for a simple question with an obvious answer of “No”
Lol
the MP could have been fixed, but the bad press and all the bitching in the forums and gamer sites essentially buried it. Activision had lost id Software to Bethesda and probably felt no need to support a lost franchise, after all this is the gaming “business”
Speculations only here.
edit: Just to point out that BRINK features many of WOLF features who got “bitched” by everyone (ex: arrow to follow like a sheep in SP). I’m scared that BRINK will turn into poo.

If you don`t like the arrow just turn it off.

that example you gave (arrow) can be turned on or off…
