Aimbot in pack file!!

Hey i just went into one of my fav servers for ET and i was kicked via pb for PB hack!! WHen i reconnected it was fine!! i had no violation but then my friends where rating on me and giving me shit that i was actualy cheating!! But there was no violation after i connected!! I looked through my folders and found this pack

Inside this pack there was a file called invok! I looked it up online and it said it was a hack! It includes wallhack and aimbot!! I was suprized that this was in my files!! WHen i played the weekend before i had no probs and i did not see any hacks on my comp that would give me advantage!! There was no auto aiming or anything on my screen!! How could this of gotten on my comp??

etpro files come from et pro mod found here: http://bani.anime.net/banimod/forums/ . You have version 3.2.2 with a checksum of 30cc5496. I don’t know what the official checksum totals are, but you could easily have downloaded a ‘hacked’ etpro file by visiting a hacker server.

I’d suggest that you PM bani with your info. (but don’t post it! aimbot/hax info are not allowed on the message board)

I cant post there cause i have a free email and it wont let me register!! Plus i alrady deleted the file!!! Casue i dont like hacks of any kind to be on my comp!!!

imo… He got caught with a hack, and posted that to prove to his ‘friends’ he wasnt hacking… thats what i think anywho.

Yea that is also true but i was not hacking! Cause i been playing with them and many others who now me as |THS|MAD DOG or |THS|MAD DOG PL for about a year and been playing ET sense beta! I never have cheated in my life in games except SP! Untill this inccident which still i dont now how this could of happened!!

if ur using xfire, and u only played weekends, check ur recently visted servers, and find out which servers u might of downloaded from… waiting for bani to say its would be way to hard to do or something :clap:

No I dont use Xfire, I remember going to 29thid clan server some polish servers about 5 and i think my brother and his friends where on a 45id server or something like that and alot of other ones on Sunday.

if you play on advertised cheat servers you’re bound to end up with crap on your comp, but why would you play there???
just wanted to “check” them out ??

How do you know he did? If you mean the KrackHouse servers then where do they advertise cheats?

They seem to run etpub, and I didn’t have to download anything when connecting. There’s a j-client something on one of the servers (optional), but no etpro pk3 . There’s nothing on the server load screen advertising cheats, and a quick look at their forums didn’t reveal any haxoring either.

The other server he’s played on (assuming it’s the correct Splatter profile) is “AOD Triple XP!”, which does run ETPro and does try to download etpro3.2.2 although I already have it. It could just be an older beta (I have 3.2.2 b3), but I’m not going to take any chances.

There’s something else fishy in this story… Just having a .dll in a .pk3 file shouldn’t cause a violation. ET automagically extracts the .dlls it uses (cgame and ui) but doesn’t do anything with any other random .dlls that are in the .pk3.

AFAIK the MD5 tool doesn’t look inside .pk3 files, and other pb violations only show up for cheats which are actually running. A cheat merely existing in a .pk3 file wouldn’t cause it to be running.

I wasn’t forced to dl a new etpro on joining the AOD server, so it must be running one of the other 3.2.2 versions.

The only conclusions I can draw from what he posted are:

  1. What he claimed happed contradicts how I have observed PB and ET to actually work. I did actually verify that ET doesn’t extract other random .dll files added to an etpro .pk3
  2. He didn’t provide any information that would let us verify his claim. In particular, the .pk3 file, the name of the server it came from, and the exact violation that he was kicked for.

Based on that, I can only assume he is confused, lying or both. Without additional information, I don’t see any point in trying to guess which.

i wonder why he deleted the file? if i were him i would have moved it to another location on my harddrive to examine it and send it to PB or SD or bani or whoever cares.

reminds me of a friend of mine. a glass bottle of coke exploded into his fathers face, made him blind on one eye. first thing the mother did was cleaning up the mess and throwing away all evidence. guess what the insurance paid?

and btw: if he doesn’t know the server, maybe his friends do. and why don’t his friends have that pk3 file if they played on the same server?
