Good thing this guy isn’t working for the gov’t. I still think democracy should play a great deal in america. Someone’s blood paid for this soil so that you can live in freedom. Just look at the games your playing, axis vs allied. Stop being a Nazi and let people play - and be free. I get bounced off servers all the time for stupid administrative regulations. I think of it like this - let the game be played as the original designers intended it. People play games to get away from bossy people. Punkbuster is there for a reason, admins should be there to make sure that their server is up. If admins listened to all the complaints that people gave out there’d be no flamethrowers, panzerfausts, stens…or covt ops. We’d be playing on a server with people with large fluffy mittens to slap each other with. If the server admins on todays servers were admins during the quake 1 days there’d be no rocket jumping…that’s illegal etc.

Er, the “democratic” way is people can do what they like with their game server, and likewise you can with yours, and anyone who doesnt like it is free to leave.
I’ve played for months on ChiGC. Abnix is ok. He’s just uptight and condescending and thinks he knowns everything. Has no diplomacy and … well, you get the picture.
ChiGC was real nice, ping-wise, before it moved to a CA server. As for admins, they were all nice and stuff but from what I’ve heard they’re mostly gone and been replaced by dickheads.
As for pk3, ChiGC was running custom maps almost exclusively. Well, at least they were at that time. Might have changed. AFAICR, they were only having Oasis in the rotation from the original maps.
I can understand Abnix’s point of view. He’s paying for the server (and getting paypals too), the upkeep, the maintenance. He CAN ban anyone he wants. It’s his right.
Well anyways - feel free to join any of the AZ_linux servers or [ION] Clan servers - 69.93.154.67:27960. Got some amazing players with tough competition. If you feel like the standard servers aren’t meeting your match, these ones surely will (Shameless plug).

Doesnt ChiGC have those huge map pack downloads? Thats just great…make me sit
there and download 3 different 70+ meg packs for maps I already have 6 diff versions
of. I just love looking into my etmain folder and seeing 6 different versions of the same
map. And by the way, shrub servers are for noobs admininstrated by noobs. ChiGC,
Phoenix IX, and countless others are notorious for kicking people better then them.
Shai, true but I rarely, if ever, get a server that’ll send me files at 500 KB/s… Anyone can say anything about the server, but it was damn fast sending those pk3 so I never really cared about that.
