z_Malloc: the fall of all of ET 2.55

Hello. i’m new to the forums. I’m the clan leader of Clan WS (www.ClanWS.com) and i’ve been running my clanserver on ET 2.55 for quite awhile now. I have made many, many new friends in ET 2.55 and would like to stay there. So I’ve been hosting on 2.55 for about 7-8 months now, so i upgraded my cable to 512 upload. So now i can host 15-20 people with okay pings. The only thing now is that every 5-6 hours when i’m hosting a lot of people i get a z_malloc error like this

Z_Malloc: failed to allocate xxxx bytes

the xxxx is about 32000.

I know ET 2.56 fixes this but i would REALLY like to have it fixed up on ET 2.55. I see a bunch of other servers with 30-60 people that run nonstop without the z_malloc error. I don’t understand what i’m doing wrong. Would it have anything to do with com_hunkmegs and com_zonemegs?

Please, i’m desperate.

If you’ve set your com_hunkmegs and com_zonemegs to their recommended values than I don’t know if going higher would be a good idea.

I suppose that you could also consider running your server inside of a batch file with an infinite loop (if you havn’t already) so when it crashes it will restart.

I do start my server using a batch file, but how would i go about making it into an infinite loop to restart it?
