your platform of choice?

curious to see an approximation of where the playerbase will lie.

PC, myself. building a new computer for it, in fact! i am curious to know what the sys req will be. that, and i prefer kb/m to controllers for FPS games, especially ones as competitive as Brink will be.

I will have to hope that Splash confirms the requirements of PC. If it is optimized well I choose the Pc version, otherwise it will be the version of PS3.

Or both? xD

Tbh I think its most PC players keeping track of forums and such. Console ain’t as much of a geek and hanging around on forums.

I’ve already upgraded my computer for the game.
intel i920
6gb ram
gainward gtx 460 1gb.
Samsung syncmaster 2233rz 120hz

Hopefully that will be enough. I haven’t started to clock much yet so still got more power to gain.
And if that’s not enough maybe another gfx card in SLI.

i’m on a budget. so far HD5770, phenom II x4 2.89ghz (for the overclocking), 4gb ddr3-1600 mem and a sweet mobo. hopefully that’s enough to do medium-lowest at a constant 60fps. that’s all i need, and if i get more, then bonus

I’m a PC player but I’ve had major trouble playing ETQW / Wolfenstein online in the past due to my ISP blocking p2p connections used to login, so after 4pm or something silly I can’t play! :frowning:

360 for me

(DarkangelUK) #7

PC here, but could be persuaded to but it for the ZX Spectrum 128k +2 if released on that platform.

Déjà vu …

(Apples) #9

Biased topic, almost everyone on these forum are PC players

(Icemonkeyjr) #10

PC is my prefered platform with any game.
It just, Better.

Specs…

Win 7 x64
Nvidia 9800GT
AMD athlon X2 core (i know, sad :frowning: getting X6 core soon :D)
3 gig of RAM (upgrading to 8 soon)

(tokamak) #11

Do they have forums on consoles?

(engiebenjy) #12

I think I will get it on the ps3, but maybe the pc - not sure yet, maybe both

(MadJack) #13

PC for any game.

Bragging rights:

Intel Q9560 Quad-Core
EVGA nVidia GTX 480 SuperClocked
8 GB RAM DDR2
nVidia 3D Vision
Win 7 x64
Watercooled.

There’s no point buying a console with that.

Oddly enough, right now I love Minecraft. The irony.

but don’t you wanna be able to play with a controller on your comfy sofa, lol.

(MadJack) #15

Slouching on the sofa is bad for your back! Besides, my stuffed desk chair is plenty comfy.

(ehrw) #16

On the couch you really lose the social aspect of the game. The console VOIP sucks imo.
Pc ftw and mumble!

(H0RSE) #17

I just find it comical that in the console community, being able to play on a sofa is a “valid” reason why console gaming is better than PC.

(retsy) #18

PC ftw… although i do own and xbox360 - i can’t play shooter games with a controller

(signofzeta) #19

Lol, ask this here, the majority will say PC.

Ask this in the bethesda forums, the majority will say 360.

Don’t hate cuz the PS triple be ballin.

(aaarrm) #20

this is true
