Hi, I must say I love Enemy Territory, it’s really the only game I play. Though I come seeking help, I’ve got some problems with it and don’t really know where else to look. I’ve tried multiple Forums and none seem to know the answer. So maybe you could help. I noticed you haven’t got a support forum though so I don’t know if you handle things like this, so I’ll refrain from posting my problem right now. If you do, or you know where does handle ET technical issues please let me know.

Well I’ve not got a GUID, well an “Unknown GUID” to be precise. I got a server admin to !finger me and that’s what came up, “Uknown GUID”, now whenever someone9not all, only some) joins they get the same GUID as me, which means they get my admin levels. so I’m not allowed any untill I get this sorted. I’m banned from loads of servers, ones I’ve never even been to and I think it’s because of this. I noticed I never had an etkey and so I got a new one however this didn’t help. I’ve tried reinstalling many times too.

That’s one problem, the other I don’t think is anything to do with ET, I thnk it’s a PB problem, which is why I took a support ticket out from them. Basicly, the computer crashes when I join a PB server, but like I said, I don’t think this is an ET problem, so it’s just the GUID I need help with for now.

I don’t know how to fix your problem atm, but there are probably some people on the forums who can :slight_smile: - so let’s hope they reply soon!

Not having an etkey is impossible if you join a pure server as it automatically assigns you one…I think…I would advise a reinstall to be honest…

Or turn off da HaXXoRs

I’ve reinstalled ET many times to sort the problem, nothing changes, though I shall try again. As for hax, if you like I could give you linnk to a post in which I ask why I’m banned from so many servers, and am accused of cheating. I’m honest when I say I don’t need a cheat to pwn noobs, besides, cheating is for pussies, I hate cheats.

so i have a solution for u just do a fresh re-install of ET
run it and make a profile ( u must enable punkbuster )
so the 1st thing u need to do its go to server with punkbuster on to get a valid guid key
and thats it :stuck_out_tongue:

so i found this weird bug on etpub servers ( with no pb on ) where a new player connect actually he copy the guid key from other pleyer

Yeah I would try that. A fresh install in another foldor or empty the complete ET folder.

Yea, I reinstalled completely and went to a pb server, it said in the console “issuing GUID”(or something close to that) then my GUID. So I went to my Clan server and did a !finger on me yet it still says unknown GUID. My Clan server doesn’t run PB so I don’t think it’s a GUID based on PB, though I’ve no idea what it is.

Thanks for all your help people, I’ve finaly sorted it( I hope ). Just incase, your wondering, I’ve no idea how I did it. I did as you said then I did /cl_punkbuster 1 and it worked. Really, thanks alot. :smiley: Meh <3 you all :stuck_out_tongue:
