So, I was in a game and FOUR of my teammates where Vassilis, and guess what, they were all below level 10, why, why does Vassili appeal so much to new/bad players. This encounter inspired me to make this graph, it is probably the most accurate thing on this entire forums.

A bit below 10 but a bit above 10 but not too above 10 so its not too below 10
He should cost 50k credits, it’s something the devs should address.
Mercs that need a high skill level to play effectively should cost 50k, mercs that are generally easy to pick up should cost 30k.
But instead we have relatively easier mercs, like Fletcher, Fragger, Nader, etc who cost 50k, when mercs like Sawbonez and Vassili, go-to mercs in high level competitive play, cost 30k.
The system should really be adjusted. Having mercs that cost less for seemingly no reason creates the illusion that they’re somehow inferior, which changes how new players see the game.

B-But… in that case Vassili SHOULD cost less, let the newbies think they’ll be inferior if they get Vassili!
Less Vassilis equals lower buying price >.<
Being realistic though, unless you change the price of Vassili to 100k, the amount of Vassilis we see in lower levels shouldn’t change unless a Sniper Elite game ends up being a massive failure and they forward their playerbase to DB.

Honestly wonder what the game would be like if mercs became available to purchase after certain levels. Proxy and Stoker at level 5, Phoenix and Fletcher at level 10, etc.
Vassili, Aimee and Red Eye at level 100
I guess there are several reasons like the already mentioned “he is one of the cheapest mercs” and of course the hated “360 mlg noscope kiddie” who will brag about how good he is in CS or CoD.
But I think Vassili is the noob sniper of choice for beginners because he seems way easier to play. Fire support/medics need to be aware of whats going on around, need map knowledge to get fast to where they are needed, fire supports are crucial for destroying EV and a whole lot of other responsibilities, that are probably too much for somebody who is just figuring out the game. Assault classes are in the thick of the action and you need to have good aim to survive. Engineers also come with a whole bag full of stuff you need to be able to do.
I think it is pretty comfortable to stay out of this whole mess in the beginning. Kind of “if i dont do anything i dont do anything wrong” and you killed people, so you helped.
All snipers should be locked behind account level. I’d say 25 or maybe even 30. Nader should not be allowed to pick in ranked untill you fill in an IQ test.

Or just delete snipers out of the game. Problem solved. (Nail i am waiting for your Disagree
)

I mean honestly, I have trouble thinking of a game that wouldn’t benefit from the removal of snipers, good ones crush the soul of the enemy team, bad ones crush the soul of your own team, they really just aren’t fun for anyone except the person playing them. Honestly the only game I can think of that wouldn’t benefit if they removed snipers is like csgo.
