I know you are just trolling like always but I think you are miss a key point. Maybe the game isn’t as dead on the consoles as it is on the PC atm but its just a matter of time. Console games are fly by night. As soon as the next game comes out on consoles (MW3, BF3), Brink will die on the consoles too. There is no future for Brink or any FPS game on the consoles. There is no chance that anyone will be playing Brink on the console 2+ years from now. Not to mention the current consoles will be dead by then!
On the PC side, there is a huge potential for Brink to be played for a very long time. W:ET, CS, and Quake3/live are perfect examples. Tons of people are still playing those games daily 7+ years after their release.
If Brink on the PC wasn’t to horribly broken and if the devs actually listened to someone who actually plays their games, people could be playing and competing in Brink for many years/seasons. But sadly, I think it is likely too late :).

If this fairly significant bug, the horrible spawn times, the lotto weapons, and the lack of demos doesn’t kill Brink… this might.

Yes, we do go from game to game, but only because we have so many choices. PC on the other hand either gets a console port or no port at all. The only thing keeping it alive is World of Warcraft and Steam, besides that it’s going right down the toilet. Console games and mobile games are the future, hate to tell you that.

consoles is where its at, sad but true. if consoles had a mouse and keyboard i’d move to it in a heartbeat…

edit: however quality game play across the board has gone down hill. Also note that I never said there were more or less pc players than console but gaming is gaming and browser based game numbers make everything pale in comparison.

The hardcore will always be on the PC. Hardcore games, hardcore players. Small numbers maybe compared to consoles but we’re dedicated.

Okay the money is in the consoles but any respectable dev will always come back to the PC because it’s there platform of choice. Devs are hardcore don’t you know and they like the breathing space

Replace “browser based” with “FREE-to-play”

They don’t make “everything pale in comparison” either, even though they are free.

He is right that PC gaming has been in decline. It’s just a cumulative result of cheating+hacking+piracy over the years.
That one of the most popular FPS PC games by far is a “browser-based” remake of a decade+ old arena shooter, is not only rather a pathetic deterioration of the genre, but a grim sign of things to come.

Hopefully, BF3 can inject some new life into the PC fps gaming community(if it can still be considered a community). I know I’ll be putting in at least a few hundred hours on that beautiful work of art. :slight_smile:

Sorry to let this forums most obvious troll get this topic off track… back to the topic at hand.

You can crouch and your opponent cant tell! Shooting for the head might mean you are shooting thin air!
On the plus side, there is now so much random lotto spread that you might still land shots regardless of where the hitbox is!

name one game that has lasted more than 3 seasons fps wise that is before 2008 not including cod4.

Well its kinda dumb to say the game is dead because a bug that 99% of the people never noticed.

And if he keeps crouching and ur aiming to the head makes sense that you can hit, add to that some lag and stuff and its kinda obvious, and also thats the reason people strafe around or jump around to try make the other dude registation fail more.

Getting kinda meh with all this posts about brink beyng dead.

Counter strike -still strong after like 10 years + more popular then cod in pc
Batlefield - Not sure for how long but it was popular for several years
TFC - was strong for like 6 years

Did you even watch the video? The point is the guy getting shot (me) was crouching the ENTIRE TIME. Never letting go of the key. On the shooters screen, he sees me just standing there.
How can anyone expect to effectively aim at something that is not even close to being accurately represented on your screen? Especially when aiming up high at head level is so important!

Now, granted most of you scrubs/trolls/noobs don’t even play on the PC so aiming is not very important. I would assume aim assist isn’t effected by this bug…

Well at first you here doing damage, when he went down i see the crouch / stand animnation and u here aiming to his head. And yes i play the game on the pc

But even if its a bug i keep sayng its dumb to make a new post sayng “you know brink is dead when”, when the majority of players didnt noticed that.

I´m not a troller but i feel that way sorry.
