yeah when i first started playing ET and used to go on any server that was at the top of the link with a few free slots there was loads of em,.

poeple that would run to waterpump from spawn and stand there wid there plyers out, waiting for someone else to waste all there charge bar and for them to finish of the job

once i helped a team mate build a command post and he turned round and tked me

also on goldrush (etpro) 3 cov ops ran for the body of the medic i just killed. and were pushin then they all resolved to tking eachother rediculas

I’d love to see a demo of that - nothing I enjoy more than seeing people publically displaying their stupidity :smiley:

As I lay there waiting for the medic I thought was with me, I looked round and saw not a single Allied player. ARG!!!
Oh god yeah this has got to be my pet peeve. If I am medic, I always follow the engy, it’s just what you need to do to help win. So when you are engy and you KNOW others were following you and you die and look around to see… nothing. GRRRRR. Mind you I often find myself way ahead of everyone else from spawn simply because so many people are crap at navigating maps quickly. It can actually help at times to take people on alone, otherwise there’s a reasonable chance that you’ll die to a TK. Why people see a firefight and attempt to shoot the enemy when the teammate is between them I’ll never know…

I don’t care about xp but if i ever see another engineer diffusing my plant or watch it happening when im another class i just blast em out of principal.This may sound harsh but i hate xp whores.
It’s just a whole mindset - people play for themselves. TBH I never even realised the last person deemed to be building an objective gets the XP - I thought it was shared out according to how much each person built. Not that I care - if you see an objective / dyno etc then the ONLY thing that matters should be finishing it off ASAP. As others have commented here - sticking to favourite servers helps no end.

There’s just so many n00bisms to list, and I haven’t got all day. One of my favourites is going on one of the servers running my map dedicated, then watching people ask what map is next :wink:

Pet hates =
diffusing dyno to plant their own (I wouldn’t even bloody mind as much if they armed theirs first - how many times do they diffuse then die???).
Filing for mines (virtually eliminated now thankfully)
Filing for tk/revives (not so eliminated now…)
People simply being afraid to rush an important area - I can rush, die and spawn 3 times or more and see the same people at the same location desperately hanging on to their worthless HP. This is so common it’s stupid.

So true, and yet so many people refuse to advance even when they do have a medic with them.
I know I get tired of engies like that and either switch to engie myself, or go rambo. :slight_smile:

what pisses me off kinda, is when im building something and sum1 comes along near the end and builds the last part and gets the XP, i think it would be much more fair if XP was devided so you got XP for how much you did

but man if ANYONE defuses my dynomite and plants their own, ill shoot them in the head, one time on oasis i planted at the south gun, its just about to play when MY OWN TEAM member* defuses it and plants his own, an axis engineer came, shot him, defuses dynomite and the other team won, north gun had already been blown and if he hadnt defused my dyno we would of won with 11 secs left, everyone was pissed and the admin who was on the server banned him permanantly, harsh but he deserved it, f’ing cunt :clap:

but as a covert opps it dose piss me off when i nearly DIE trying to get my uniform and sum1 nicks it, happend so i blew em up with a satchet :stuck_out_tongue: i got kicked by the admin but came back on, explained what happend, got backed up by sum1 who saw what happend and he got kicked :stuck_out_tongue: a very happy ending :clap:

BTW many people thing that RTCW has no XP, there is something like that tho, any1 remember the score, press tab and see the scorce board after ur name, works in different ways but as the same principal :banana:

Very true - how many people used to boast about having the highest score or saying ‘can I join your clan I always get highest score’ when of course they are constantly on the losing team (IE rendering it worthless?). All ET did was to give this pointless boasting more ‘flavours’.

It’s always fun to point out to ‘winners’ their team still lost, at which point it’s their cue to rant and rave about how crap their team is, thereby building team spirit for the next map :wink:

this is not really xp stealing but amused us on comms at the time: on a pubby, I was giving good medic love and cover to a newbie engineer after a couple of chants of “follow me” I eventually got him through to the north gun. He got the idea so while I fought off 2 incoming axis he scrolled through his stuff, found his dyna and planted but he didn’t stop “Arming” afterwards, needless to say the dyna mysteriously dissappeared!!

he did the same when I got him to south, go figure :wink:

he was rather quiet, we informed him of his mistake and he didn’t say much and left when we eventually got both destroyed (not by him)

Rushing is the ONLY way to win at ET versus a good defending team. Funnily, while I think real life war is pointless and cruel - I am a big proponent of human wave attacks in ET :slight_smile:

If the server allows it, after he plants his dynamite and defuses yours, lay on his dynamite then file on him when it kills you.

its just one of those things…
like when u r fighting some1 good and r just about 2 kill him 1 of ur teammates pops up and kills UR enemy and then goes like: Ha! U r such a n00b i owned ur ass…

while it was ectually ur hard work he is taking credit for… i usually (on my clans server) just give him a warning and explain him why he got it (not respecting other players would b the charge since u cant really call it fragstealing cuz fraggin is just being at the right place at the right time shooting at the right things)
if he does it again he will get kicked…

lol… or just have 1 of ur ‘friends’ b a covert and when u planted having him throw a satchel there the just letting him blow it as soon as anyone tries 2 defuse…
