wtf is up with the bot infestation?

(dommafia) #1

Maybe I’m the only one that doesn’t like this, but why do all these servers have bots in them? Who wants to play vs bots? I dont get it personally… maybe there’s a new mindset in the U.S. et player base… it sure has changed from what I used to.

can anyone recommend any good U.S. servers that are known to be good and bot-less? (and gaymod-less for that matter? )

(and gaymod-less for that matter? )

… for that you will get a kiss xD

since cod4 / quake wars / and so on … many well known servers got a big problem with traffic … their players hiding at newer games … so the only chance to get a server full is to handle with some bots to keep some newbs on it … regulars will join if they see - oh hey there are some boobs on it … lets frag 'em

we had exactly this problem in the beginning of COD4 … nearly 50% of our regulars played COD4 … so there wasnt anybody who’s filling up the server … so noone is there … noone will join … cuz noone will/wanna join an empty server … and so on

here you can find easily a server: http://et.splatterladder.com/?mod=serverlist

greetz Cambo

(… nearly everybody hates bots)

try:
195.4.17.142:27960

it’s in Germany, but I play lagless from the center of Canada with 120 - 150 ping

a great U.S. server is at:
216.67.224.122

if you visit their web site the map rotation is listed and they have a map manager available that auto-downloads maps ahead of joining. Read their rules as well
Ze Blob is from that site, he made the map manager
