WTF !! game threw me out when i was about to become General!

So i was playing on this great server, i had everything full, Engie, Medic, Soldier, Field ops and i needed only ONE STAR to complete cov op, so i took a uniform went to a MG placed and and had this feeling this will be my fourth cuase i had 3 for a long time and did enough stuff to deserve my fourth i felt…

Anyway, i threw the satchel on the mg pushed my left mouse butten with a grin on my face from here to tokyo and as i pushed it, the game just quit, i did not get kicked, or got an error or something it just returned to windows. And i know this can’t be a coincidence, PLZ TELL ME IT"S A JOKE YOU GUYS PUT IN !! and General is just impossible to get :frowning: :frowning:

I spend 6 hours to get that high :frowning: :frowning:

I made a demo of the last map where i got booted, haven’t wachted it yet though…

Oh and this is the first time a game just returned to windows for me i usually don’t have porblems like that…

Frustrating, yes, but it happens. More often in windows. :smiley:

And if you want to see how close you are to your promotions, hit Alt. It’ll show you weapon stats and XP breakdown. If you hit it while spectating, it’ll give you the stats of the person you’re following.

General is possible to get, though. I’ve done it once. It’s even easier with cheats enabled.

So… you spent 6 hours playing the game just in order to get to general rank. And you went around blowing up MG’s in order to get your covert XP up.

Well, no offence, but I think most people here will agree with me when I say:

No i was just playing with some friends,and i happen to complete Engie, Medic, and Field Ops, THEN, and i say again THEN it crossed my mind that i might be able to get everything full so yes i started playing for points doesn’t hurt if you do it once, wouldn’t you if you had the chance ??

I play in winxp and I’ve only crashed twice;) out of a lot of playing.

Both times were when a panzer hit me. Luckily both times I just closed the program and got back in the game within a minute, and since I play on a server running shrub mod, my XP stayed :clap: :clap:

Of course, the linux servers I play on crash a lot, and since the server crashes, I lose my xp :frowning:
Very annoying :weird:

heh, pay no heed to my comments. It’s 5:30 am and I havent slept yet, so I’m kinda in a “I hate everybody, especially YOU” mood :slight_smile:

In after a few hours sleep I’ll be handing out flowers and donating large sums of money to starving orphan children, the nice guy that I am :smiley:

my comp sometimes freezes after extended use (12 maps), with soundtrack looping. Total lockup, requires hitting circuit breaker (or holding power button)

Oh, and got General again today, 2000 XP EXACTLY :slight_smile:

3 map rotation (J/K :slight_smile: ) was really a 6 map :clap:

The crashes are caused by all the little mine flags falling into the PC case and cluttering up the Graphics Card’s heat fan.

Try inverting your PC every few campaigns, and the problem should disappear.
