The only person on square one here is you. Again, it doesn’t take a genius to see that the majority of the community wasn’t and isn’t satisfied by a 0.3% drop rate, easy fix, allow them to buy things that give them exactly what they want. SD/Nexon gets their money, we get our cards. 0.3% is just more incentive to buy. [/quote]
That is exactly what meant. Again with that “majority of community” nonsense.
Would introducing guaranteed cases bring some petty cash to Nexon ? Sure.
Would that annoy a lot of people and generally screw balance ? Yep.
Would it be worth it ? Not even close.
Unless Nexon makes those cases prices on par with those skin drop chances from regular cases. But in this case this small group of “majority of the community” will start crying that prices are 2 high and they are not willing to spend any more money on game.
I personally think that they should keep the buy 10 get 1 free, but on the 1 100% one, you get to pick your merc that you want. That way no chance of dupe and you can actually get what you want, and they get money still making it rare. If people want to spend 500+$ to get them all then good for them.

“Annoy alot of people and screw balance”? What the sh*t does this have to do with balance? It’s a f**king skin, the only people it’s going to annoy are the pricks that choose to be jealous of people who can pay to get what they want. You want to be annoyed by it, go ahead. That’s your choice and your fault. It’s also gonna bring in alot more than just a “petty” amount of cash, think about it, everybody that’s willing to pay for skins is going to buy them over these falsely titled “Elite Cases”, and because of the fact that they know a key component of what they want plus the desire for a good loadout coupled with RNG is going to provide incentive to buy more. If anything, it’s going to increase sales.
Among few other things level/type of skins determine players stature within commnity at the moment. With random cases every1 had fairly equal chance to get to top of that particular pilar. With guaranteed cases, major part of the playerbase will be left behind on that particular matter. Its from the same category as to ask for guaranteed cobalt cases.
And the only pricks here are those who think that they are better than everybody else, and since they are willing to spend real money on the game, then they get to shit on every1 else.
And again followed by “informed” prediction that such feature would generate a substantial amount of cash for the Nexon. Zero actual data and a ton of unsubstantiated guessing based on a few dozen players confirmed willingness to spend undefined amount of cash on those cases.
Its not Nexons first game and they know all 2 well that selling a bit but constantly, with high randomization pattern, is far more profitable than a lot, but few times, with predetermined outcome.
And Elite Cases are elite, because they offer better chances for higher level loadouts, as they are better than regular ones. Thats all that matters in terms of gradation.
I voted because I think there should be a mix.
Right now with them really only now starting to ramp up the ‘skins’ lists, I feel eventually there should be directly purchasable skins/loadouts and ALSO the skins/loadouts that are left to the RNG Gods.
There is something rewarding having worked towards getting something that few other players have, on the flip side, there should also be the option of ‘less fancy’ custom skins/loadouts that can be purchased directly.
Obviously I’m referring to things other than bronze/silver/gold/cobalt loadouts which with bronze being the only guaranteed atm purchasable with credits.
Right now the game has a lack of content that requires players to invest significant time into the game to get, hence people often get bored. Removing the rng of cards completely would make that even more noticeable.

That’s not how it works, tell me how much you actually care about the Level 2 who lucked in and got a Cobalt and if it’s anything above 20% of the amount of f*cks you give, you’re a funny, funny, petty guy. Stature = Experience>Skill>Level, there’s no two ways about it, you can’t determine a player’s stature within the community by RNG, it’s just nonsense, it’s like putting names on pieces of paper and drawing them out of a hat to decide a president. Sure skins look pretty and I’d love to have them, but do they decide on a player’s position within the community hierarchy? No, no they don’t.
Oh, alrighty then. Looks like I’m the ch33ky cnt, especially after suggesting events for F2Ps, calling for F2P inclusion, ect. If you haven’t noticed, no one here is saying that they’re better than people that aren’t willing to spend money on the game, I’m saying I’m better than the people that choose to make a fuss over the fact that I do. If you don’t want to spend money on the game, why do I care? I don’t give a flying fck, but when I go to spend cash and people get all upset like: "Aw man, I’m so upset at the fact you got a skin and I didn’t! sob", I won’t give a flying fck about them either. They’re being needlessly annoyed.
Are you familiar with the concept of a “SWOT Analysis”? It basically maps the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to a business element. There’s no need for guessing, just state the obvious: guaranteed skin is a strength, permanent byproduct is a weakness, RNG and desirability are opportunities, other cases are threats. Considering these factors, let’s cut to the chase and say that the threat is removed by the fact that other cases are inferior when referring to the subject matter. The weakness is the fact that these cases give a permanent product, but given the fact that there is a large 161 to 1 chance that the consumer will not get exactly what (s)he wants from each case, I’d say that problem sorts itself out with a good price point. The fact that it’s giving the consumer a preset skin is the strength and its major selling point. Every product starts out with an estimation, Dirmagnos.
You’re right, by definition they are “elite”.
If i get something i get something, that i like. If someone tells me that “oh, you have a chance to get rich!” for example, sure i always have the chance, but chances are meaningless, in the actual moment of time its always 50-50, something either happens or not. I studied stat math about chances and yeah, i know if something is very highly likely, it will probably happen, but when that small chance actually hits, then the whole thing seems in vain. So yeah, 50-50.
The fact that ppl ramble about that this makes the cards valuable? No it does not. There are some ppl who just get tons of cards, simply cause they got “lucky”. Besides, i dont care if someone else has it, i get skins for my own visual pleasure, not because i wanna be “special” or “unique”, if i want that, i practice and be skillful, thats unique enough atm!
I didnt get any special cards last time, and i will probably wont get any now, if i get it its simply an accident. So i will probably never buy or care about “special” cases, on the other hand, i think ill buy a trinket.
