Because the game allows for greater visual variation, would it be possible to add hand signs? Having hand signs would be great for fireteams on pubs or even clans, and a quick way for the FT leader to signal an advance or tell approaching friendlies to stay put. Just wondering abt this as I know I’ve heard more than one person wish for this.
Would it be possible to implement hand signs?
It’s funny you should mention that as it was something we finally completed in the most recent release of Q3F.
However, there are no current plans to include this in Enemy Territory because despite 3-Demon spending eons on all the animations, few people actually used them
However, we have focussed on improving team communication by adding a a new Fire-Team system. This gives players a context-sensitive hot-key command system that allows orders to be sent to squad-mates really rapidly.
Paul/Locki.
Cool – that’s all we really eed is the ability to quickly communicate – and visual hand signs would probably be easy to miss.
okay now i’m lost. :banghead:
do splash damage make the wolfenstein games then?? i thought u were just the guys who made the market garden map? what a noob am i lol.
Potted history:
id made Wolfenstein 3D and executively produced Return to Castle Wolfenstein, which was developed by Gray Matter and Nerve.
We contributed a number of multiplayer maps for the Game of The Year/Special Edition (depending on your country) version of RtCW, along with Nerve.
id are now executively producing Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, which is being developed by us and a company called Mad Doc Software, with assistance from Gray Matter.
We also made Games Domain’s Market Garden map (and another map called Eagle’s Nest - I don’t think GD ever released it, but I’m pretty sure it was previewed at one point).
WQe used to have eagles nest set up on two test servers at Gamesdomain but it was never opened to public -
The map also isnt generally available.
What kind of size map is it? (i.e. What kind of ideal player numbers)
And where could we get it now that BW have removed it from the gameservers.
The above of course is presuming that BT don’t have rights on teh map or suchlike ;/
Thx for info - Look forward to reply.
btw - As a side note - The current animations ARE used regularly ;D
They are greatly apreciated - I often need not type but just nod or shake head and jesture in a direction to people - great fun - Well done 3-Demon.
