i can’t think of a single reason anyone would play the unpatched version. it’s not like counterstrike where every update utterly changed the gameplay and thus you had longtime holdouts who stayed with a previous version until they were dragged kicking and screaming into the future…

id say only people who neve knew about the patch would play 1.0
actually, i installed ET 1.0 and went for a game, and nobody on the server knew there was a patch :twak: :fiesta: :weird:

I dont get it. There are players who stay with original game version of ET, and never upgrade to current highest patch? Even though they are regular players. How come? Why stay at 1.0? Obviously there must be a reason why a patch was released?

i play the rtcw 1.33 patch although there is a 1.4 patch
reason, i have GOTY so default is 1.33 but the number of servers on 1.3 is about 10 and there always seems to be just thr right abmount of players so you can always find a server thats not full but has lots of player + i know alot of people on 1.3 so its easier to play with each other
