Wolfenstein not working

Everytime I try to play, on any server it starts download maps, even when I’ve got the map already.

The downloads come through at 3kb a second so that would take forever.

I looked online for the maps and found some but they come through as .zip files not .pk3.

I tried opening the zips into the \etmain\ directory but it still doesn’t work.

Any help much appreciated!

Oh yeah, my wolfenstein has suddenly turned half French as well. Theres no option to change language and I definately didn’t choose to change it!

This might happen if because you have a lot of .pk3 files in your etmain directory. Some suggestions for cleaning it up can be found here: http://wolfwiki.anime.net/index.php/Client_Configuration (at the bottom)

the change to French will be a pk3 in etmain folder, also you should delete any file in there with a .tmp extension

Theres only 3 .pk3 files in there, I’m pretty sure they all came with the game.

I need to know where to download more so I can get all these missing levels as the game isn’t downloading them at a reasonable speed.

Also I can’t see any temp files, maybe I should download it again and re-install.

is a good place to find them

btw, pk3 files are a form of .zip, if they unzip to anything other than a pk3, just rename them to .pk3

Or you can reinstall the game. I suggest you back up any mods you have in the file before reinstalling it.
