For those who once installed Rudis proxy service and at some point deinstalled it again, you might wonder why your masterlist is not working 
Here a short explanation what you must do to make your list work again:
Simply open up your hosts file (open Notepad as Administrator, type â%WINDIR%\System32\drivers\etcâ into the address bar, change the file type to âAll Filesâ and open the file named âhostsâ) and delete the line:
etmaster.idsoftware.com 127.0.0.1

My server is not on the master list⌠what do I need to make sure is in the config for it to show up?
Try it with your firewall turned off if a homegrown server. Also make sure you are checking the right list 2.55/2.60b?

Yes in theory, but some people may not have updated their servers. It defaults to id software because, in theory, that should be more stable

My server is through Game Servers. I just need to know what needs to be put in my config file.
@Avery i have 4 servers running and 2 of these servers not are showing in the list too i think its not related to the server config. i know my server config is right but i really dont know why the hell its not showing up in the master list
if im not wrong the server config only need is have this line - sv_master1 âetmaster.idsoftware.comâ - to shows into the master server list
Well noticed sometimes some servers appears sometimes not. Maybe the client does not receive all the data requested to master server? There could be some loss like packets?
Avery I am curious, is this on 2.60b list? I have 3 servers on the 2.55 list and they have been working 24/7 since the list came back.
Did you click on âserver nameâ and put them in alphabetic order, then search? I once had a problem where changes in networking at gamesevers.com bumped my server down from its typical spot on the list.

Make sure, when you start up your server, you check where it is sending the heartbeat. Check for a message like:
Sending heartbeat to
in serverlog. It will show you where it is sending the heartbeat to.
